What do you call your characters when you start a new game?
I most commonly call my characters Lazerus or Jaxonu
what do other people call theirs?

Unless I don't plan on taking the game seriously at all. In which case, anything goes. Sorta like your mom

I always name my character Kevin DuBois, which is a bit of a bastardization of a name from this Homestar Runner cartoon: http://www.homestarrunner.com/sbemail95.html

Why? Well, it started several years ago when I was playing KOTOR for the first time and a buddy of mine told me to name my character Kevin DuBois, something which has stuck.

I usually name my character using my name, because I' m highly original and also it makes me feel more like a character in the story as opposed to just playing a character.

I always name my characters Ultrajoe, or a variation thereof if the game has more than one person to name: Eviljoe, Megajoe, Superjoe. You get the picture.

My preferred one is Bunnybeater, though I'll go under either "Dogbasher" or "Raklav" (I just like how it sounds) if there's a character limit.

Usually El Arab De Magnifico or El Arab if for some reason there is a character limit.

In Mass Effect, I couldn't call my self "El Shepard De Magnifico" or something, so I just named him/her Squeebert, my "backup" name.

I named my Etrian Odyssey characters after rappers. I named a warrior 50 Cent, and a Bard Eminem. Guess who got attacked and killed first? Fitty didn't stand a chance against those mole men.
