Naming Help Needed...

Okay, I have a dilemma. Normally, I'm pretty good at coming up with names based around a certain theme. It's how I name my characters for stories and such, I just give them a name based around their personality, or the stuff they do. However, I'm now in a real-life conundrum. I need a name.

Long story short, I've joined the Assassin's Guild at my university, and in early February we start the main game for this semester. Everyone needs to use their own pseudonym for the game, and my original pseudonym was 'The Operator'. Since choosing that, however, I've realised it's not that awesome a name, and I'm trying to think of something better, but my mind is blank. Ideally I want something cool, yet slightly obscure, and was thinking of something based around one of my favourite anime series (Umineko no Naku Koro ni). But I can't for the life of me (ironic, eh?) think of anything good.

Which is where you come in. I want The Escapist community to help me think up some cool yet obscure names based on pop culture for an assassin to use as a pseudonym, and I'll carry on thinking too, and hopefully there'll be some great ones to choose from before the game starts in February :D.

[small]If it helps, my favourite anime is the aforementioned Umineko, along with Death Note, Elfen Lied, and Hellsing. I tend to play as a sniper when I play shooter games, or play as a stealthy sort of character. I read Discworld and the works of Ian Irvine, and my favourite non-shooter games are The Longest Journey, the Myst series, Rome: Total War, and Dawn of War. And my music tastes are mainly indie/alternative rock and folk. So any names based on any of that would be pretty cool :).[/small]

EDIT: For those who don't know what I mean with an Assassin's Guild, it's merely a game played on university campuses all over the world. Mainly in the US and Canada, but here in the UK they're also starting to catch on.

Basically, everyone in a game provides to a database, usually online or kept by the game umpire, with their address, pseudonym, a photo, and other details like university course or how they travel or whatever. Then during the game, each player is given a list of around three or four targets to 'kill'. You have to find the target and 'kill' them using an approved fake weapon, usually either a water gun or Nerf weapons. If you manage to 'kill' them, it gets marked and you're given points depending on how efficient it was, if they managed to kill you first (in which case you die and they get the points), the method, things like that. Common weapons can often be silly things, we've had in Leeds people get killed by rubber pig and things like that. Don't ask, because it was before my time. People who break rules are added to the fee-for-all Most Wanted list, while the dead can come back as 'zombies' and kill anyone on that list, but cannot be killed.

At the end, the person with the most kills or the most points is awarded a prize or something. Games can often run for several weeks, our games are standardised at eight weeks I believe. Awards are also given to people who complete different challenges with their kills, or who are consistently good or bad at the game. Smaller events are also often run, like going paintballing or Lazer Quest, and pub crawls where everyone is trying to secretly kill each other away from the main group (better than it sounds :p).

Wait, why have you got an Assassin's Guild in your university? And perhaps more importantly, who on Earth are you trying to kill?

Shouldn't someone call the police?

I wonder who the target is. This is exciting!

Not literally, it's a game. I'm guessing you don't know what it is, unless you're joking (hard to tell over the interwebz :p). I'll update the OP for anyone who doesn't know what the game entails...

Yeah, I wasn't kidding, I have no idea what you're talking about. As for your name, call yourself Cyrus, the sniper from DOWII.

how about playing with your name and coming up with an anagram?

oh you could maybe use your initials combined with the initials of your favorite game or anime for an anagram as well.

Ronove? Battler? Some other name from Umineko?
Not a bad idea, I did think of Battler for a little bit, but figured it was a little bland, and following that with 'The Golden Sorcerer' just seemed a bit silly as a pseudonym to me. Ronove's a good one though, that's added to the list of potentials, so thanks :D

I'm not good with anime (i personally despise it) so im gonna give you a generic name that a 17 year old white boy would use, 'Ghost'
