Naming my Metal Band

So, is this band really satanic? I have no problem with that really, it just seems alot of bands have satanic names because it makes them seem badass. I prefer Nuclear Prophecy, but a suggestion.

Insane Eternity

Change that to Eternal Insanity. Just a suggestion, but quite frankly, "Eternity being insane" sounds rather odd.

Edit: Like someone else said, something mythological. Perhaps "Son of Zeus" or something along those lines.

All those are fairly ordinary names. In fact, I'd be REALLY surprised if all of them weren't already taken by obscure bands all over the place.

Be original. Come up with something unexpected (not stupid, mind you).

Pretty much this. Nuclear Prophecy is the best out of the ones you've got but they're all a bit meh.

EDIT: Go with something original, not a crappy stereotypical thrash name like you have.

All of the bands that I've been in have had really odd obscure names like "The Sarcastics" or "The Dingo Babies"

I remember when my friends were trying to name their band (they settled on the name "LockStitch") I made a band name generator list. It worked like this


Adjective, member name, ending

Each accompanied by a list of words assocaiated with satanism and the like
Some names I remember coming out of it "The Dead Breath of the Graveyard", "The Feared Presidents of Pain", "The Flaming Bullets of Ragnorak" it went on for pages and pages. I think "Nuclear Prophecy' is pretty good probaly the best, the rest seem cheesy.

For an ever cooler name, just pick a random disease or affliction, and VOILA! You have a name. You could be something cool like Hernia, Tuberculosis, or maybe even Multiple Sclerosis.
