Doom 3 had baby-killing. I believe that there are a handful of games which have baby-killing. Meh, people just like to complain. This is hilarious news, though.

I do find it wrong to kill babies, but hey, this game is supposed to disturb you, right? If it wasn't they should have made a game about El Paradiso or Teletubbies.

Would it really surprise anyone if the producers of the game paid the INA to complain about the achievement just to get attention? They already pulled the false religious protest against the game. Also lets not forget that booth babe picture contest.

Uhh, I actually agree with the nannys on this one. Murdering children is crossing the line for a game
So what? Neon Genesis Evangelion crossed the line when giving psychological disorders to the cast of characters, it doesnt change anything when someone complains, im surprised in fact that this country aint supporting this game since it has a HUGE hard on for religion.
I actually love the fact that they love religion. And Ive known that they were going to cross the line with this game alot. Its just I dont enjoy killing women and babies in games. I prefer gangsters and undead nazis, because those are the image of evil. But kids?
You dont understand, SOMETHING HAS TO CHANGE, if you people really want videogames to be considered a "mainstream medium" then allow little changes like what Dante Inferno game is bringing, if not then complain like all the other religious freaks!

Look ladies, I don't give a fuck who you are, but I most certainly won't be associating the achievement with your organization. An organization I never even heard of! Oh wait, I won't be unlocking it either, because it is a CONSOLE EXCLUSIVE! *gnaws on hand*

Whatever, the point is, I don't mind killing any character in a video game, since they are just a bunch of lifeless pixels.

"INA feels this video game component of Dante's Inferno was created out of poor taste and bad judgment."
Isn't that is what entirety of that game is made of?

The more I hear about this game the more I grow disinterested/openly hostile to it. Really the achievement is one big dead baby joke, pay it no attention.

Thank you :)

Seriously, there are some things games shouldn't touch and this is probably one of them. And don't start bitching to me about censorship or freedom of expression or any of that crap. This is just plain wrong :(

I'm interested solely because I'm curious to see the book-to-game transition.

I mean, I'm not expecting accuracy, but I'm still curious.

Regardless, if nannies think that kids will suddenly start kiping screaming brats from beds and curb-stomping them due to a video game, then they'd better stop wasting time with protests and go start booby-trapping the homes of those who pay them to, I dunno...take care of the brats in the first place.

That wouldn't be so surprising if that were the case. I'm wondering how they learned of what it would take to unlock the achievement, let alone learn of the achievement itself. (If there was a list of achievements released prior to this posting, then ignore the last statement.) To say the least, the marketing team behind the game are certainly going all out on this...

The concept of slaughtering innocent babies, even *gasp* unbaptized ones is a bit unsettling. But the Nannies must surely realize this is a lost and pointless cause. Their time would be better spent doing actual proactive things.

Wake up. Fantasy play is labeled "fantasy" for a reason.

So why does monkey-god person get sent to an asylum, but man-god person? They're both equally unbelievable and inane.
Not all crazy cults go to the asylum. Just the ones with the Kool Aid.
Why are you so antagonistic against religion?
Because apparently one person believing in an imaginary friend is wrong, but a whole group of people believing in one and then acting on it is okay.

Not to mention the stranglehold this supernatural nonsense has on our society on the never-ending impendiment of progress and their self-serving sense of morality makes them the biggest assholes on the planet.

Or they're inability to provide any sort of evidence beyond "it is because it is".

Or perhaps it is because it shows how childish our society still is because we have to hold onto such an infantile remant from our beginnings you'd think we would've lost by pure chance by now.

Just me or is it sad that special interest groups take these things so seriously? You'd think people could differentiate reality and fantasy, well, you'd hope so at least.

Killing babies? Well, it could be worse... MUCH worse.
I'll leave what that "worse" is to your imagination. Muahahaha...

The next GTA needs children and old ladies, mainly so I can kill them and get an achievement. We need MORE baby slaughter, not less. We've gotta get over this taboo of "OMG Kids are the purest and bestest things under the sun so we can't show them dying!" We're running out of cheap scares and trauma. Killing kids is pretty much what we've left ourselves with.

In any case, this game sounds like crap. It's pretty much a carbon copy of God of War stuck in Hell. Sounds boring to me.

I think the Nannies messed up their logic.

If the babies are in Purgatory / Hell, then are they not already dead?

Then again, it is really funny how some groups get so freaked out with a video game, when Saw 6 (I think) is coming out soon, and that is a movie all about killing people with the most messed up torture devices possible, and nobody cares.

"All that being said, it should be understood that our job is not to censor potentially tasteless or objectionable content nor dictate to publishers what type of content they may include in their games" --- made me cry.

I hate Australia.
