Hello fellow escapists. I need advice for a good JRPG for the Xbox 360.

I own both the Final Fantasies. I am actually hating myself for having those be my only JRPGs. So I need more.

Suggestions for any good ones?

Ever tried Tales of Vesperia?

Unlike most JRPGS the main character is and 21 year old vigilante who takes matters into his own hands.

I've never played it myself, but the Tales series has one of the best real time battle systems.

Lost Odyssey. The fact that a lot of gamers claim it as the unofficial Final Fantasy for this generation should tell you how good it is. And it was directed by Mr Final Fantasy himself, Hironobu Sakaguchi.
Yeah this essentially. There are other good ones but Lost Odyssey is rather brilliant, good story and solid combat. However it was a very early release and has some nasty loading times even when installed to the HD.

I like Last Remnant personally, bit different from the norm and annoyingly also featured nasty long load times even when installed.

This . It is beautifully written . The gameplay could get kinda slow at times but you really start to care for the characters . Not to mention the 1000 years of dreams . Oh. My goodness .

Other good jrpgs include but not limited to : star ocean 4 , magna carta 2 resonance of fate.

Ok Well I bought Lost Oddessy. I am liking it a bit. I do love the 1000 Years of Dreams. But the Constantly changing cameras in battle are pissing me off. Quite a bit.

Good luck with that, I haven't liked a JRPG since the PSOne era. Well minus the persona games, but after that ti's been the same things I hate over and over again.

Despite what a previous poster said, I'd advise against Star Ocean 4. Unless you enjoy things like this [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kNauq6_9iP0]. (Yes, that girl is actually "older than she looks" and is supposed to be the love interest of one of the teenage-looking ones.)

I already played it once and hated the Battle system. And yes that was fucked up.

Dark Souls... It isn't like most JRPGs but it has RPG elements (i.e. A fantasy setting and a levelling up system) and its Japanese...

I recommend an actual role playing game instead of a Japanese animated movie with combat.

Play Neverwinter Nights. It's on PC, but you must have access to one to be here (obviously) and it's easily several months of entertainment.

I would suggest Blue Dragon and Eternal Sonata, both have been out for a while and you should be able to pick them up cheap.

On a Mac. So I doubt I could play it. Plus I prefer JRPGs. Nestalgia is a great feeling. Takes me back to the PS1 days where I played Final Fantasies 7, 8, 9 and Legend of Dragoon.

I got a 360 just for that game. It is really the only JRPG this generation that feels grounded in their old NES to PS1 roots.

Be warned tho, the game is EXTREMELY depressing but EXTREMELY good. However I'm not even halfway through and can't play it any more because of this.

As unfunny and over used as your jab was at JRPGs, I'm sure your point would be better stated on a post where people are arguing over the marits of JRPGs and WRPGs. This is a thread on good JRPGs for the Xbox, you have recommended a PC exclusive WRPG, amazing how in a post defined by two conditions you've failed them both (also with the added bonus of being useless since the guy can't even play PC games).

OT; might want to try Resonance of Fate, hardly anyone knows about it but it has an interesting combat system and trys some different ideas.

What did you do after that (if you don't mind me asking) cause I'm at that exact point and I'm absolutely befuddled?

Tales of Vesperia and Lost Odyssey are both fantastic JRPG's on the Xbox 360.
