Others have mentioned it but I would recommend Resonance of Fate. But it's my only JRPG... ever, so... lol. I kinda like it, but it's very hard XD So much grinding @_@

Since you've already played/tried Lost Odyssey and Star Ocean 4, the other one I would recommend is The Last Remnant.

Tales of Vesperia, it is the ONLY good JRPG on the 360, I have tried others but they suck, that includes lost odessy

Dark Souls... It isn't like most JRPGs but it has RPG elements (i.e. A fantasy setting and a levelling up system) and its Japanese...
Own it already. just beat the Moonlight Butterfly in fact.
What did you do after that (if you don't mind me asking) cause I'm at that exact point and I'm absolutely befuddled?
Remember the bridge with the dragon? Well there was a locked door on the end with the guy who gave you the White Soap Stone. Go through that door.

I'll look into it.

Lost Odyssey
oh god yes. great game. though to be honest, felt really short. i beat it in like no time. i was expecting a huge epic adventure spanning multiple discs but the only reason for the extra discs is video cut scenes (not worth that, shoulda just stuck with real-time) but even still it's a great game with a great turn-based battle system. it's got the right amount of strategy and challenge too. however my favorite part about this game is the characters and story which stick out like a gem in a genre that's gone sour due to over-saturation and generic clones.

i would recommend Star Ocean because i love that series but i still have yet to get the latest one... i will sometime soon though!

there isn't really anything else i would recommend. i've tried Last Remnant, Tales of Vesperia, and Infinite Undiscovery but those games are just too generic and boring. i didn't finish any of em.

the garbage pile of jrpg is just as bad as the western rpgs. too many of them all following the same basic formula that's been around for ages. completely unmotivated character design and predictable stories. it's the sign of gaming becoming too popular. just like Hollywood movies.

Well, I am fairly sure everyone already mentioned every single JRPG on the 360, so... What else you got? Otherwise, I am just going to recommend Tales of Vesperia (good combat, great environments, bland story), Lost Odyssey (good story, okay environments, bland combat), and Operation: Darkness (a SRPG ala Disgaea where you fight zombies and vampires in WW2. Awesome). I guarantee you, any other console this gen is better for JRPGs than the 360. :/

EDIT: Also, Nier. Very different from anything else on the market today, which I think is worth a look-see in and of itself.

Ok Well I bought Lost Oddessy. I am liking it a bit. I do love the 1000 Years of Dreams. But the Constantly changing cameras in battle are pissing me off. Quite a bit.
Despite what a previous poster said, I'd advise against Star Ocean 4. Unless you enjoy things like this [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kNauq6_9iP0]. (Yes, that girl is actually "older than she looks" and is supposed to be the love interest of one of the teenage-looking ones.)
What ... What was that I just saw? I think you just traumatized me.
