Simple enough. Just give me a few recommendations. I'll try not to turn any of them down, but I do have a couple biases...you'll probably find out about them when they come up.

I don't have any for Windows, but at least I know there are none for Windows anyway. Same goes for the Wii, and my only other gaming platform is the Nintendo DS. As far as that goes, I've already got Final Fantasy 4, Chrono Trigger and The World Ends With You, but I know there are a lot more out there...

Edit: Please only give me suggestions that fit on those three platforms. So no Tales of Whatever, no New Goddess Heaven: Persona and no Xenosaga or Xenogears. Not saying those are bad games, but since I can't play them, why bother telling me to?

Edit 2: As far as Wii games go, I also don't have a Gamecube or Classic controller, so no help from the Virtual Console or Gamecube library, unfortunately.

Devil Survivor. It's somewhat like The World Ends With You in terms of setting, and it's got creative tactical gameplay and a very cool branching storyline.

EDIT: Ninja'd. You might also like Radiant Historia, too.

There's also the Rune Factory series (farming sims + dungeons) and the Etrian Odyssey series (old-school roguelike).

About freaking time there is a "Recommend me a RPG" thread that doesn't say no JRPGs. That was getting annoying.
Other games have already been said. I'll throw in the Disgaea port. You can never go wrong with Disgaea.
Edit: If you like Digimon then get Dawn/Dusk. Those are great games.

What console are these on? Because last I checked, none of these are for Windows, Nintendo Wii or Nintendo DS.

Symphonia is available on the GC, which is Wii compatible.
There's also Symphonia 2 in the Wii, which is "adequate" but not nearly good as its predecessor.

Abyss has been released on the 3DS, but there's no guarantee it'll reach the US.

You could always play through the Pokemon games; they're almost JRPGs.

I can't run any of those, so why'd you bring them up?

I would argue that they are RPGs. They serve as a great introduction to JRPGs. Turn based at its purest.

If you have a regular DS and not a DSi I would recommend Final Fantasy VI advance it was always my favorite Final Fantasy and it is a GBA port of the SNES game. Or Breath of Fire gba ports for I and II. (I'm kind of a retro gamer). For regular DS i would say Summon Night:Twin Age is a good playthrough.

You are aware that the Wii is 100% backwards compatible with the Gamecube... Right?

You could emulate a PS1, I guess. Don't know if legal, though. If it is, play Front Mission 3, it's a Japanese Turn-Based-Tactical RPG with 'Mechs.

Why, because he didn't read the OP, of course! [small]God I hate those people.[/small]

Anyway, OT: If your DS is an original/Lite, Final Fantasy V Advance is an underappreciated gem. And cheap on eBay. If you can get your hands on a genuine copy of VI (which is very hard), go for it. The Mario & Luigi games are also very good on DS.
I hear Dragon Quest 9 is good too, but I have yet to try it myself.

Sorry, but, no Gamecube controller.

Then, go get one; Gamestop, Ebay, Amazon, etc.

The Wii has a very small library of games worth playing, what with all the games they refuse to release in NA and EU, and the lack of 3rd party support. So, ignoring your one chance to get a healthy library going, by adding Gamecube games, is only your own fault.

Besides, do you own Super Smash Brothers Brawl? The only way to play that game is with a Gamecube controller.
Not to mention, the only way to play the superior Melee is also with a Gamecube controller.

Yes, and Wiimote+Nunchuk.
