Ok, two things in my favourite little opening sentence for once 1. Yes this is a terrible attempt to get back to nice, quietish game talk 2. This thread has been very done but I think I have some different restrictions/freedoms(is that a word?) to alot of the other ones.

Ok so I'm looking for a game for either around this time or for my Bday on March 14th.

A) Favoured console is PC but my actual computer coming on the 24th is quite old (like I play WoW on lowest settings at 20 fps old)
B) Have a PS3 and a Wii
C) looking for something to kill a fair amount of time with because I don't often get games
D) Not that much into Fps but if I find a solid one I'll probably pick it up
E) I pretty much own nothing of the current generation
F) I'm a chicken so no horror games please.
G) The parents don't mind Violence or Swearing to an extent only Sexual material is their worry.

I have:

WoW
Warcraft 3
LOTR BFM2
PoP 2008
Resistance 1
Singstar
Dbz Budokai Tenkaichi 2 and 3
The original Unreal Tournament
Civilazation 4 and beyond the sword
Call to Power II
Some old xbox games that I've either beaten or given up on
Tarzan for the PS one
Pokemon Snap
Pokemon Stadium 2
A selection of Gbc through to GBA SP Pokemon games

Quite literally that's the extent of games I have.

So is there anything out now or that I should be waiting for in the next few weeks or months? (preferably month)

hmmm... I'd say any fallout game.
Well more or less Fallout 3 was blown to smithereens for me when I overheard my Father talking with a work colleague of his who said it had "Adult Themes"

I was actually hoping for a new-er game but I've always wanted to go back and try out some of the older stuff that I missed.

Hmm...have you got any of the last gen consoles as well? If you want to keep yourself busy buy a gamecube controller and buy a load of gamecube games for your Wii. There are a hell lot of great games for it:

-Metroid Prime (I haven't played MP2 but I've heard its not as good)
-Luigi's Mansion (still my favorite Mario game)
-Mario Sunshine (under rated)
-Super Smash Bros Melee (Brawl may not be great, I don't know, but if you've got friends over theres very few games that can beat Melee for all round crazy fun)
-Mario Kart (again, great party game)
-Killer 7

Plus there are way more non exclusives. All these games you could get for £5 each at the most.

Look at this years line up. I say its time to break out the last gen. I bought myself a new PS2 and I've played so many amazing games in the last month (i'm not sure if PS3 backwards compatible, but you may want to fish around for some PS2 games as well)

You can hire a hooker, but she just goes upstairs and falls asleep.

Unless by adult themes he meant shooting a mutants head and it going in three directions. But some sections of the game do have some relatively tense survival sections, especially when you're seriously out gunned.

The force unleashed is a good play, but you don't get very much replay value out of it.

I would like to recommend Saints Row 2, but the violence is there and there are ways to make it very "adult themed" very easily, not that you see anything of course, you don't in most video games. (you can streak, flash and there are a few sexual references in cut scenes, but never any on screen action, just talking about it.)

Basically the limit is that if it is mentioned on the box as anything other then "Sexual references" then it's a no-go.

......I'd pay money to send goatse to your parents.
G) The parents don't mind Violence or Swearing to an extent only Sexual material is their worry.
........Which is why I think the world is fucked up.

Psychonauts, Rome:total war, an import of rapelay, and a hit to the sides of your parents' heads for limiting my choices (if I didn't feel limited I'd probably have 30 games up there that didn't have sexual content, but any limitations make it hard for me to think).

Naw, they trust me to be mature enough to not attempt to kill someone or to start mouthing off in the middle of a discussion I think their reasoning behind the last one is the fact I'm a 13 year old boy.

Anyhow just generally, seriously there is nothing recent worth checking out? I've seen Team Fortress 2 a couple of times and that seems pretty cool so I'd like to ask does it fit into what I've already put up and is it easy to get into? (Also probably if I was to buy it then it would be on it's own because I would probably be scared shitless of HF2 and portal didn't really appeal to me.)

Reported. Sorry, but you don't tell someone to hit their parents, even as a joke.

Anyway, the only game I can think of right now would be Persona4(PS2), if you're into those kind of games. Any other time I'd recommend you all my fav horror games, but you mentioned that you don't like those(and Siren: Blood Curse is such a pretty game too ♥).

My statements still stand. Anyone fine with violence and not sex is an imbecile. sexual content doesn't hurt anyone, including 13 year olds. Nothing happens to a 13 year old seeing sexual content. Except maybe masturbation but that hurts no one.

It's for PC and it's an FPS. But it's easy to get into and if I were you I'd check your specs.

Who said he'd do it?

No one, but you told him too. It was just plain rude.
I didn't tell him to do it, I recomended it. I don't care if it's rude. I will insult imbeciles and say they deserve bad things all I want.

I second this, diablo 2 is a great game that you can play for a long time before getting bored of it. The best bit is that you could pick it up very cheaply and probly have enough money to purchase another newer game too if you wanted.

Telling me to hit my parents as a joke, acceptable. Calling them imbeciles? yeah not so much.

Oh Team Fortress 2 is definitely worth getting. The problem is that it lightly won't run very well on a low end PC and its not as great on the consoles.

I have orange box for my 360. They're incredible games but Team Fortress 2 has problems that I think the PS3 also suffers from:

-The worst lag I have ever seen.
-No updates (while theres a small chance the 360 may get updates about the time Duke Nukem is released valve has said they will not update the PS3.)
-Crappy community. Its not that they're arseholes, theres just very few of them, plus they never use mics, which is almost vital for TF2 sometimes.

EDIT: I would say thats it still worth getting the orange box. Half-Life 2 is brilliant, and isn't scary often. Portal is simply a work of genius. If it doesn't appeal to you, you just don't like good games. Theres a simple way of telling. Look at people talking about Portal. Even the people who aren't in love it still think its pretty good. Portal haters are virtually non existent. And even with all the its problems TF2 is still one of the best multiplayer games I have ever played. Even with no updates for way over a year I'm still playing.

I saw someone mentioning psychonauts I definitely second that it has one of the best stories of any game i've ever played.

Anyone who's against letting their kid see sex and not murder/genocide is an imbecile. Regardless of who's parents they are.
