Well, I'd name him (it's a him, right?) Boston, even though I hate the city & the Socks. (GO YANKS!!!!!!) I got the name from this nice short story I read a while back where this woman got a pretty ugly black cat and named him Boston (called him Boss for short). She decides to see if showing the cat more affection & such would improve his friendliness & looks and it does work. The cat begins to follow her everywhere and even rides on her shoulder.

Hell, I enjoyed the story enough so I decided that if I was to ever get a black male cat, I'd name him Boston.
