Need help with "Everyone Dies" glitch on Battle for Middle Earth

Hi, I just bought Lord of the Rings; Battle For Middle Earth from a charity shop. There was no manual so I had to find the cd-key on the internet.
About 4 minutes in, everyone dies. I'm finding this quite annoying. Apprently it's some kind of DRM measure gone wrong or something.

Anyway I can't find any single answer of how to fix it. Re-installing is the most common answer but that failed. Any ideas?

Well this is obviously a HUGE glitch as I own the game and beaten it never seen this.

I guess since you have a legal copy you can pirate a digital copy

This happens to me on BfME2. at exactly 3:30 minutes into any game, everyone on my team just drops dead and i lose.

There are a few less than reputable things I could suggest but the mods would have my guts for garters,
the only real help I can give you is get a new copy from somwhere cheap, Amazon maybe?
Or you could Phone customer support they may help you though I doubt it.
