need help with minecraft

WHY DOSE MINECRAFT UPDATING EVERY TIME I LOG ON?

the frist time i log in wen i have started the compter the game will update.
ya so every time i log in the game updates now mind you its only lasts for 1-2 sec but sill why is this hapening?

as far as i know the team is not adding new thing every time i start my comp.

also it dose not ask if it can down load it just starts and in 1-2 sec its done.

and my frend says It means its checking if the jar was modified and if so redownloading (if META-INF is there) but I have naver modified my game in any way, no mods at all not even a texture pack.

I have also tryed backing up my game and redownloading the minecraft. but it sill dose it.

Any help would be nice or just saying that it is normal for sumone useing a pure vanilla minecraft

dose it hapen to you wen you first paly it? cuz if so thats the answer i would like to here. (the It's checking for updates part) also if your games moded in anyway pz say so (it mite be doing it for you cuz your moded but im runing a pure vanilla minecraft)

It usually does that if your PC lags for a little bit. You also probably have the old launcher. Does it have the update news on it? If not, delete that .exe, go to the download site and redownload the launcher.

I use the bowers and i have tryed redownloading all of it.

Wasn't trying to be critical, just utterly confused about what you're trying to say. And sucks it wasn't on the faq, not sure if I can help outside of that. Hope you find the problem though.

Let me get this straight, your problem is you cannot wait two seconds for it to check your game is up to date? Because that's all it's doing, it's checking you're up to date. And if it's just two seconds when you log in.. that's not really that big of a deal is it? Just blink and it's done. =p

Why does Minecraft keep updating every time I open it?

The first time I log in, when I have started the computer, the game will update.
But still, every time I log in after that it still updates. The updates may load quickly but I still want to know why it has to update every time.

Mojang can't possibly roll out updates as fast as I'm getting them.

It doesn't even prompt me to update, it just automatically updates on its own.

My friend thinks that it's checking if the .jar was modified and tries to fix it, but I have never modified my game in any way. I haven't even put in a texture pack.

I have also tried backing up my game and redownloading the minecraft launcher, but it didn't fix it.

Could someone help me fix it, or is it supposed to happen and is just normal?

Does that make it any easier?

o god no i could wait an hour if i needed i just wanted to know if anyone was playing pure vanilla minecraft and had this cuz i wanted to know if it was a bug or sumthing
