I am currently writing a Fanfiction and I am having trouble writing a love/kiss scene.
Would you kindly, please help with how I can write a scene like that? I have never been in a relationship before and most of the step-by-step guides out there state that there should be emotions that are felt in the moment. If it helps it is a Persona 4 fanfiction with Souji and Yukiko.
Also may I also request if I may. Some example of sorts, I don't have any romance books stupidly and even the internet doesnt seem to be helpful with searches either - most ending up being 'steamy hot sex scene' or some sort of sex scene.
Between narrative there should be some silent spots where characters are outwardly unable to drop each others gaze, and inwardly overwhelmed by the idea of each other. Movie scenes always have chars speaking softly and slowly getting closer, eventually warranting kiss proximity. There's a lot of different situations that a love or kiss scene can take place in, and a few different ways to approach the end result. Tougher more rebellious characters tend to feed off of cunning or ballsy back and forths.(think biker love). The Importance in this type of scene may be that the dialogue remain simple but honest, and the emphasis be on the body language and advancement of the scenes intentions.
Setting an environment that perpetuates the mood helps. Think a scene where a (busy, callous and industrious) such as an oppressive city environment is contrasted by The (focus, sensitivity, and profundity) of the private conversation held by the two lovers. This comparison elevates the mood and lends amplification to the dialogue.
Hope this helps, it's my first post and I did it on the way to family Xmas on my phone lol. Have a good holidays
"So he stared in my eyes with a hunger of a lion and as he walked closer towards me and grabed me by my weist, then I realized. I love him and on that second our lips touched, then bliss came over me.
This was the perfect moment and I wish that I could immortalize it in a painting".
Depends on the kind off chemistry you're trying to set up. For example, I'm only good at "aggressive girl takes guy" kind of stories:
"That was a great movie!" you exclaim, recalling the action scenes of the latest sci-fi or fantasy flick we just watched. "Thanks for taking me, Paks. I've wanted to see that movie since I saw the previews last year!"
"It was fun," I respond, smiling. "Did you like the soda I got you?" I ask, as I lead you back to my car. "I hope I got you the right one. The line was so long, I forgot which soda you said you liked."
"The taste is a little off, but that's okay. Are you sure you don't want me to pay you back for the soda and tickets?"
"My treat. Say, you look a little tired. Do you want to nap while I drive you home? I'll wake you up when we get there."
You yawn and nod your head, your eyes heavy as you buckle in. The last thing you see as you close your eyes is a strangely familiar picture of a girl stuck on the corner of my dashboard...
You wake up sitting on a chair, your hands and feet tied and your mouth gagged. There is a portrait on the wall in front of you. It is the enlarged version of the picture on my dashboard. In it is a girl, proud and haughty in her bearing, with long red hair and piercing brown eyes. She is wearing the cheerleader outfit of your old high school.
That's when you realize who the girl in the picture is: she's haunted and teased you since grade school. You inadvertently utter her name, as if saying it would summon a beast.
"I'm glad you remember me."
You feel a chill hand rest on your shoulder, and memories of torment are brought rushing back.
"I was afraid that you might figure out who I am, but...well, you were never the observant type," a voice taunts playfully next to your ear.
Even before you can make the decision to turn your head to the side and face your captor, the decision is made for you. Icy fingers grab hold of your chin and quickly tilts your head to the side.
"Hello again." I smile when I see the confusion in your face. "You're probably thinking, 'Paks, what are you doing? Is this some sort of sick joke?!'," I mimic the old you from your childhood, the squeaky, crybaby voice that you worked so hard to change, to get rid of.
I take off my glasses and toss them aside, revealing piercing brown eyes. I take off my overcoat, and you recognize with growing horror that the cheerleading uniform underneath is the same as the one in the picture.
Once again, you're face to face with Her.
"All I did was dye my hair black, and you didn't recognize me," I laugh that same haunting laugh. "I'm either that good an actress, or you're that fucking stupid." The wicked grin on my lips turn dangerous, and before my face contorts into rage, I've already grabbed you by the hair and yanked your head back...hard. "DO I LOOK LIKE A FUCKING ACTRESS? DO I?!"
...and that's all for now. I kinda went on a tangent, and it's not even a romantic scene. Sorry.
o.o My word, young lady! This combined with the private conversations we've had makes me wonder just how your boyfriend survives your sexual encounters.
[sup][sup]Good thing you turned me down - I bruise easy.[/sup][/sup]
There's a fine line between love scene, and sexual scene.
If going for a love scene, focus on how the two characters feel for each other, but don't push it too much unless you want a George Lucas catastrophe. Occasionally throw in a physical motion, action, but focus on the emotional states, mental thoguhts of each character as if they were an individual.
If its a sex scene, have a few lovely bits of dialouge at the begining related to emotions and such, then, to be blunt, "get sticky"
You don't know how to do these scenes because you've never seen them done. Go down to any second-hand charity store, like Salvation Army, St Vincent De Paul etc. Those places are all packed to the absolute rafters with old romance novels that they can't get rid of and will sell to you for less than the price of a chocolate bar.
Also, you'd be surprised how explicit romance scenes in romance books get.
Does that pairing have a large following? I don't know the fandom at all. If you can find an archive, LJ community, message board, or whatever, where people post fanfic, go read other romance fanfics that have a rating of PG-13 or R or T. R and T will probably contain sex but it will be sort of "softcore" compared to the NC-17 stuff. If you're trying to write sex in a vague way, the R rating will probably have some example contained in it. If you want to get up to a certain point and then fade to black, you may actually get some use from the more explicit ones too, at least if they help you find a threshold you don't want to go past.
Here [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/FanficRecs/Persona4] is a link to the TV Tropes rec page for that series. Maybe you can find some examples there.
Here [http://community.livejournal.com/dreamsoundscape/tag/souji%2Fyukiko] is a link to someone on Livejournal who writes that pairing, that link goes to the relevantly tagged posts.
Also, try googling "Souji/Yukiko Persona 4 fanfic recs/recommendations" or something. You can find lists of what people consider is well-written stuff.
