In terms of screenshot ones, The Dark Id's Resident Evil LPs are hilarious. Start with Resi 4 and move on from there, they're on the LP Archive.

Also worth checking out are Slowbeef's Dead to Rights and Metroid Prime LPs
Helloween4545-F.E.A.R and Amnesia (On Youtube)
From Earth-Silent Hill 1-4
ThornBrain-Agent Under Fire
LawrenceFriday-Dante's Inferno

All the above bar Helloween4545 are on the LP Archive. Enjoy!

Two Best Friends (Matt and Pat) did a Let's Play of RE2 and Silent Hill: Downpour and they were hysterical. I'd definitely recommend checking them out if you haven't already. They have an excellent back-and-forth in everything they do. They don't do a lot of LP's, mostly just short videos, but they're continually entertaining.
They've also just started doing a lets play of Final Fight Streetwise.

Holy shit, an FF7 LP I might actually watch all the way through, no foolin I thank you so much for this.
You can direct one cookie directly to my private cookie vault!

OT:
SnapWave is also a decent LP'er.
If that's a joke about my first LP, that's cold (I was a dumb noob looking for a gimmick) but if that's about this site, then I'll give you thumbs or cookies or whatever.

And if you were being random, then I just really don't know...
I solemnly swear it was a pure random thought out prize for myself.
I sadly don't have the time for watching LP's with 4 more finals coming up.

Also , when referring to your first LP you mean your own or the first on your list?
Also, what of the listed LP'ers are your favorite off your list?

I suck at Megaman, and discovered LP by watching him do buster-only perfect runs.

Don't see why the purist opinions about LP. As long as basic quality standards are met it doesn't matter what form it takes or if it pays someone's rent. To each their own opinions of what's acceptable, it's not anyone's IP to control.
Thank you for this, I will watch these perfect runs in extreme envy now, also his accent isn't as bad as some of the British LP'ers I've seen, no offence to British LP'ers.

Still wish he'd play MMX

My favorite Lper or Let's Play Random would have to be Novawar [link]http://www.youtube.com/user/computerplayer1[/link]
So much science and such a soothing voice to listen to.
After that has to be Matt and Pat from two best friends play.

I meant the first LP I did, it was...not so good. I wouldn't tell anybody to watch anything I do yet, come back in a year or two when I finally create my style from putting myself through a ringer or two. Then watching the evolution might be interesting.

I started with Chugga, he's a staple and good all around, but he's not my favorite. Right now, my favorite is a close tie between SuperJeenius (His Persona 3 FES LP right now is glorious) and the Pokecapn crew, specifically Proteank (His KH2 and his current FF13-2 are hilarious)A close second would be Clement, I salute him for his stupidity with the drinking challenge playing super meat boy.

If you haven't guessed by now, I watch LP's mostly for funny and entertaining commentary.

EDIT: Oh, and good luck with your finals. I actually just started up a summer class.

HerCrabbiness [http://www.youtube.com/user/hercrabbiness] does some fun Adventure Game LP's. She's sort of in that niche group with Resulka, Pushing Up Roses, LateBlt (though they don't do things together any more) and the likes.

Malefact [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XbXPzrCU1Zk&list=PL3D0DFF60F1A21636&index=1&feature=plpp_video] does a great TotS LP. He is very silly.

And this guy Jethrotex [http://www.youtube.com/user/Jethrotex/videos?view=1] is just adorable. He is so into Hey You! Pikachu that if you have any pokemon nostalgia goggles, its worth watching some of his stuff. And the Dora the Explorer LP is a hoot, too.

Though, of course, Chip and Ironicus as has been mentioned, and there are a lot of great SS LPs, too. From Earth has some hilarious Silent Hill plays.

I'm liking chronicles of riddick so much I started to do a LP for the first time, having uploaded/done a few videos I'm not sure I am saying anything worth saying, but I'm quite enjoying it anyway...talking to myself :/

Everybody's gotta start somewhere, I don't think anyone's first LP is fantastic, it's a hobby you grow with time.

I don't know if it really fits into the category of Playthroughs, but I love the Yogscast (especially their Minecraft videos):

Other than that, Yahtzee's recent playthroughs are really entertaining:

Hehe, it almost feels like a guilty pleasure. I have to confess to thinking about if their are any other games I might try it with.

He is pretty much the only LP'er i subscribe to, usually likes to do games that dont make it into the communal spotlight and never does a new release when it comes out.

One I brought up in a previous LP thread is Kikoskia [http://www.youtube.com/user/Kikoskia/videos?view=1]. Mostly older games he played when he was younger and a mix of good and bad games to show off/rip a new one. A rather large list of games and watching him play XCOM finally got me to play the ancient fossil. Deus Ex, Silent Bomber, Overblood, Sam and Max, Doom, XCOM and Terror from the Deep all make an appearance and many more.

Die hard arcade? You should have mentioned that! Now that is something you don't see everyday.

I just found a new LP'er I've been enjoying, RowanOneK, just wanted to say that for anybody else who wants LP suggestions. He just started up a Crono Cross LP and does really great voice work.
