As far as rap goes, I love Das Racist. They're very self aware and full of pop culture non sequiturs, but beyond that, their songs are fantastic.

For your Kate Bush needs, Bat for Lashes is right up that alley.

Chairlift hits the 80s type synthy stuff perfectly

For electronic stuff, I like Kids & Explosions, they do mashups but they take much more artistic license than people like Girl Talk

Hmm, metal like Nightwish? Tough. You might like some kind of power metal-based stuff. What do you think of this?

Not all that Nightwishey really, but it is as close as I can think of.

thanks, though I just thourght I was share, not nessicarlyly a request to "give me stuff like this" but I apreciate the effort

personally metal doesnt really "do it" for me...I mean i like some but after a while I hear a few songs I feel like Ive heard them all

Hmm, that's interesting. I've been listening to metal for years, and I'm still finding bands who are doing new/interesting things. It has amazed me how incredibly diverse it is. But to each their own. What do you think of folk-based stuff? Flutes, bagpipes, big chanty-vocals, stuff like that?

For metal. Slipknot, Deftones, Korn, Chevelle, Rob Zombie, Rammstein, Seether, Stone Sour, Mudvayne, Static X, Three Days Grace, Tool, Metallica, Pantera, Sevendust, Disturbed, System of a Down, Killswitch Engage, All That Remains, Flyleaf, Lacuna Coil, Within Temptation, Alice In Chains, Nirvana, Soundgarden, Trivium, Puddle of Mudd, Powerman 5000, Motorhead, Dope, Breaking Benjamin. There's a lot more than that but those come to mind. Some of these bands I don't care for anymore but that doesn't matter. Just trying to be helpful.
