As far as rap goes, I love Das Racist. They're very self aware and full of pop culture non sequiturs, but beyond that, their songs are fantastic.

For electronic stuff, I like Kids & Explosions, they do mashups but they take much more artistic license than people like Girl Talk

Hmm, that's interesting. I've been listening to metal for years, and I'm still finding bands who are doing new/interesting things. It has amazed me how incredibly diverse it is. But to each their own. What do you think of folk-based stuff? Flutes, bagpipes, big chanty-vocals, stuff like that?Vault101 said:

Slipknot, Deftones, Korn, Chevelle, Rob Zombie, Rammstein, Seether, Stone Sour, Mudvayne, Static X, Three Days Grace, Tool, Metallica, Pantera, Sevendust, Disturbed, System of a Down, Killswitch Engage, All That Remains, Flyleaf, Lacuna Coil, Within Temptation, Alice In Chains, Nirvana, Soundgarden, Trivium, Puddle of Mudd, Powerman 5000, Motorhead, Dope, Breaking Benjamin. There's a lot more than that but those come to mind. Some of these bands I don't care for anymore but that doesn't matter. Just trying to be helpful.
