Need some help locating an older movie title..

Well I've been having the robin williams discussion for the last few days trying to find his best work and its led into an interesting movie my mother remembers.
However we went through his works on IMDB and could not find it.
So i am currently not sure if he star'd in it or not.

This is what i know.

The movie starts and the main character has been in a mental home he is the last of a wealthy family who own a plot of land on or as a "park/wooded area" he has built himself a junk "Castle" as he refers to it.
He starts getting demolition notices as the government have 're-claimed' the property since he was put away he needs to find help in a lawyer or journalist to fight them to convince the 'woman' he dances around her nude to convince her (not sure how that works) and finally in the end with the bulldozer at the door they get the papers to save his 'house/castle/thing'

I've had no luck on google all morning, i also tried imdb and some other sites and am at a complete blank.

I also have mockingly told my mother perhaps she just dreamt up and mixed up the entire thing.. but she insists its a real film, and 80s to 90s period. (It was on free tv here around that time and we get things extra late.)

I don't know why, but that makes me think of "The Fisher King", which was a Robin Williams movie. I think my guess is wrong, but it's a start.

Yeah it isn't, i had a check over of the film to make sure, which is why i'm thinking that robin williams isn't likely the actor.

I'm still stuck trying to figure out what it can be.

Fisher King is a good guess but if that's not it I haven't got a clue. The premise rings a bell but I don't think it's a Robin Williams movie.

Hold on. You don't live in Australia by any chance, do you? There's a movie called The Castle [http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0118826/] from 1997 and it's about eminent domain, but I don't think it's a match. Has to do with a fight over a nearby airport.

I suppose it would also help if you or your mom could remember any other actors, familiar faces or...anything else really.

Yeah i've attempted to pry more information there isn't any lol
Its a similar kind of fight, but its a single man from what i'm told, meeting a lady lawyer or journalist to help him, he is last in the line of a wealthy family who legally owns the grounds, its "like a park" it doesn't seem like a wooded off area so i'd assume it takes place in a city.

He *was* commited in a mental home and that must be the cities fight that because he is crazy he couldn't have the place, and his *house* is either "made of junk" or "junky" but he refers to it as his castle.

They deliver notices to his door that he has to move and he ignores them at the start of the movie, but he goes to find help by flashing/being naked/dancing naked kind of thing.
