While that is awesome and I've found a new great band, don't be disin' CoB!

They may not be the best band in the world, but they're one of my favorites.

Though I like this band too. Where are they from?
Sorry but I mean come on when you compare their new musc to their old music, you can understand why fans of their old music hate the new CoB.

And well Kalmah is from Finland just like CoB, so they are kinda spiritual succesors, though they are also awesome in their own way so they are not just a carbon copy of CoB.

Really? I like their new music a bit more than their old stuff but I still like it all.

And I love all those Northern European metal bands. You ever heard of Equilibrium?

Fuck yeah.

Seriously any band from the Scandinavian countries automatically rule, that's just how metal is.

So enough fanboyism, I'd also recommend Wintersun, Fintroll, Warmen, and Ensiferum, all from Finland as well.

This song has the greatest intro ever:

But, yes, enough fanboyism. I know a few of those and you seem to share my same taste in music (despite CoB) and are now one of my new best friends :D

If you don't love one of those four then you should drive to Florida in silence.

For some classic try Emmerson, Lake & Palmer (ELP), they're a 70s progressive rock band not many have heard of. Song Recommendations: The Endless Enigma and Tarkus.

And for something Modern give Deathspell Omega a go, Black Metal if your into it. Song Recommendations: The Repellent Scars of Abandon and Election and A Chore for the Lost.

Need some new music, eh? I got some music for ya.
But I must warn you, I kinda OD'd on the samples. :p
Sorry.
Yes, you probably hear me talk about them a lot but they're really good and really underrated... Well, at least their old stuff. :p
They are [small](or were)[/small] very "garage-y" for lack of a better word, and very "Not in your face".
These are the basic songs that sum up their (old) style
Say it ain't soMy name is JonasPink Triangle
His stuff is very interesting and different. He likes to mix styles like electronic and gospel, and it turns out really well. Other stuff is just techno if your into that stuff.
FlowerIn this worldShot in the back of the head
Well, there you go. A bunch of music. You might not like it, but hey, at least you tried it out... I assume.

Am I the only one on the Escapist who listens to dub? I REFUSE to believe that!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o0QznJ2cjKg

Then of course theres some good ole d'n'b
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lwD1vQ_Gw2A

It's all a matter of taste really. If you're into acoustic stuff, then go and download City and Colour, more specifically The Girl, because that song is win. And as for metal, I've heard good things from August Burns Red's new album, although I have yet to listen to it.
