So I have had an itch to get a new steam game or two, so recommend me some of your favorites, any genre besides sports or racing fits my taste

Here are the games I have:
Breath of Death VII: The Begging/ Cthulhu Saves the World
Company of Heroes
Fallout 3/NV
Half Life 2
Magicka
Portal/2
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
Super Meat Boy
Team Fortress 2
Terraria
The Total War games

So help me out and suggest a few games!

Well, Edmund McMillen, one-half the Super Meat Boy team, just came out with a game called The Binding of Isaac. It's a mix of roguelike, Zelda, and Smash TV where you play as a boy whose crazy mother wants to sacrifice him to God. It's $4.49 until Tuesday.

The trailer:

Really good. It's only been out since Wednesday, and it's all I've been playing. The randomly generated rooms and item drops keep it fresh.

I agree, its not even $5 and I've logged over 10 hours into it. Very fun and well worth the money.

Allright I will give it a shot, but I can afford to buy more, anyone else have any suggestions?

Just Cause 2.

A fun sandbox, if the sandbox were 300km either way and filled with explosive objects and squishy mortals.

For $15, I recommend Shank

It's a fun 2D hack-n-slash, and it has its own co-op campaign if you have friends! But if you don't, you can play the lonesome single player campaign(which is still awesome). Just try out its demo.

I would recommend:

Torchlight
WH40k: Dawn of War 2 (and expansions, but I haven't played the newest one) - A neat new take on RTS, trying to get rid of base building
Monkey Island 1 & 2
Rock of Ages - I haven't played it yet, but I'm looking forward to it coming out on PSN instead of Steam

Any more suggestions? I am still deciding, a good long RPG could probably work, any ideas?

Is Dark Souls on Steam? Or the PC? I could Google it, but... Yeah. It's a really good game. Get it by any means, and you get extra points if it's by force.

EDIT: It isn't on Steam, nor PC, that's a shame. I'll slink back into my box now. Have you tried Borderlands? I actually bought that on Steam and it is rather a lot of fun, if you like looting and customisation.
