that was me scrolling through the escapist. Tell me it's a monitor issue and not a video card one (at least I have a spare monitor).

Looks like a faulty monitor all right.

Only thing to do now is slap the crap out of the side of it or buy a new one.

I'm no tech expert but I seriously doubt it is your video card, it might be your monitor, have you checked the plugs? It looks like what a TV usually goes through when not plugged in all the way in.

This was the problem, I also took the oppurtunity to dust everything at the back of the tower (system unit). Thanks for the help and I joined that group in case anything else goes wrong.
