battlefield bad company is imminent which is what i'm personally putting my chips on. I can't stand the lack of player control in MW2. got a hacker? so what fuck off and deal with it. Other than that tf2, css, l4d2, killing floor, and borderlands for fps games

play Cod4: modern warfare, very good replacement, some would argue a better game :O

MW2 is fun if you don't take it as a serious shooter. Yeah its totally possible to dual wield 10 gauge sawed off shotguns. the best sniper rifle does the least damn. yep thats makes complete sense. the last weapon for unlock is apparently the invincible AK-47 with no recoil and epic dmg tho the stats says otherwise. Perks that no1 ever uses, sitwrap, ninja, one man army. (ok maybe not ninja since thats pretty useful in Hardcore XD) O the lag hickups boy are those fun...

And i thought spec ops was gonna be fun or have a zombie horde survival mode but i guessed wrong... 80% of the missions you'll never touch again once you've beaten it.

But in all seriousness im just overall less impressed with the second game.

So in closing go back to CoD4:MW or CoD5:WaW or TF2 for a bit of random shenanigan or Left4Dead 1 & 2 if u only have 3 friends. XD Red Orchestra if you want a bit of realism grit. Battlefield series for the vehicular manslaughter. Day of Defeat and Counter-strike are good fun here and there too

Personally, I can't wait until BF: BC2 comes out. Until then, I'm playing the original Modern Warfare.

Maybe I'll go back to CS 1.6.

I'd put my money on any of the left 4 dead games. If you have a computer that can run 'em, it's a lot of fun. Anyways, I find the computer players much more mature and sportsman-like than most of the people on Xbox Live. So, grad L4D or L4D2 and go put some zombies back in their graves!!

However, I will warn you that the gameplay is much simpler than MW2. There's no ironsights, prone, or weapon attatchments (other than different ammo and lasersights in L4D2 and a flashlight in both). But it still is a really fun game. I love the original, especially the last campaign level (Blood Harvest). If you get a bunch of friends to hide inside the barn, you wait till a zombie comes that looks like the Hulk and then a fun shoot-out occurs with one of your friends becoming the bait for the monster. It's always fun to watch your buddy running around like a chicken with its head cut off yelling "Kill it! Kill it!". Plus, there's nothing like being the last guy into the APC and popping a few undead brains in defiance before making your escape.

I'll have no trouble saying that Team Fortress 2 is the best online FPS available for the PC.
So that would be what I recommend.

If you want something similar to CoD4 or MW2, Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is coming out in a few months, for the PC aswell. How good that game is though, I don't know.

So, Mw2 is alright, ups and downs. and i have never raged so hard in a game, beside the point. The main point is its kinda getting old. Any suggestions you could give me on online fps games that me and my friends can play? and it doesn't necessarily have to be new games. I'm open to pretty much open to any game out there. And i'm looking for PC games. Thanks guys
Battlefield: Bad Company is pretty cool :) Maps are massive, camping is less of a problem and gold rush is a fun game mode. Give it a try
Yes, camping isn't as bad as certain games, but you trade campers for people who team kill you just for having a sniper rifle every chance they get.

Gold Rush encourages camping, and the Tking is just bullshit.

I always hear about this but I have never ran into it ever, people saying teamkilling is rampant in the game, I have met one dick who knifed to steal the artillery and occasionally I end up under the treads of a teammates tank but its never intentional im normally using the thing as cover, I have only recently taken up sniping, I really enjoy the sniper vs countersniper that shows up. Its just impractical to camp, you can pin them down for a while but the are so many alternate routes and too many places for a camper to cover properly so if you sit still too long your getting shot yourself.

Back when I still played the game, I was a sniper roughly 24/7. When you barely choose that class, you won't be the victim of teamkilling very often. However, if you choose that class a lot, you would end up with at least 20 dickheads teamkilling all match per day.

As for camping, I didn't move very much in the game. I stayed in one heavily forested area until a bullet or two whizzed by my ear.
