Alright, fellow escapists, I need help. I'm looking into getting some games for someone as a birthday gift. He already told me to pick up Saints Row 1 & 2, loves Fallout 3, Left for Dead, MW2, and generally enjoys fantasy settings as well - but everything I've mentioned has been vetoed. Repeatedly. He refuses to play Dragon Age, any GTA title, Condemned, and anything else I've come up with. Does the Escapist have suggestions for good titles that might suit him?

The X-box version of Ninja Gaiden is frustratingly difficult and can lead to fits of rage due to replaying boss battles six to seven times in a row.
Ninja Gaiden II for the 360 is pretty difficult, yet forgiving enough to keep you from causing damage to your game/t.v./house.
Both BioShock games, specifically the first one, are amazing games (in my opinion) And while it's pretty old, and has agonizingly long load times between levels/ reloads, Prey is a good game with a fairly original (for its time) setting.

If he loves Fallout 3 and enjoys fantasy settings then the obvious answer would be Oblivion and if he likes L4D then maybe the sequel would be good. Then again, if he loves MW2 he will like anything.

Seems like more of an issue of bad taste than pickiness. In any case, I second that notion of getting him Bad Company 2.
