Fallout: New Vegas. Great game. But a little too buggy on the 360, from What I can gather. You could still try it?

Dragon Age: Origins is also great. Absolutely stunning Writing and dialogue...... But the combat sucks some gargantuan, hairy, mutant balls!

I have noticed them not putting many RPGS out there. I know ya have the Western RPGS but personally there's only so many times ya can make ya elf fight the orc king or some rubbish like that. The one i have yet to try is Tales of Vesperia. Before it came on Demand, it was being sold on certain websites for £120! i saw it preowned for £65 in a local shop. Seems like one of those rare awesome games but alas, have yet to play it.

I also have played Fable, Fable 2, and Fable 3 (which I thought sucked).
They sure did. I recommend Bioware RPGs: Dragon Age: Origins + DA2 and Mass Effect 1 + 2.

Also, try the original Bioshock. Not the most traditional RPG in the genre but it's a great overall game.

Tales of Vesperia
-and-
Lost Odyssey

Then ask again in a few years when you finish those two.

I think you're mistaking "JRPG" for "True RPG" (because JRPG's are not Role Playing Games).
There aren't very many top down turn based DVD menu simulators made anymore.

I played Dragon Age: Origins for about 5 hours. I didn't like it because seemed like it had (in my opinion) more cut scenes than game action. And I haven't played DA2 for that reason.

Dragon Age 2 is nothing like the first, at least thats what i've heard.

I rented Dragon Age 2 and it is quite fun :D

Argh, good call. I just assumed it was considered an SRPG for some reason (and that that would disqualify it somehow).

Okay, revised list:

Tales of Vesperia
Resonance of Fate
Lost Odyssey

And when you finish those you can join us in witnessing the heat death of the universe.

One thing I've noticed about the XBOX, is that they don't have very many true RPGs
X360 has as many RPGs as any other console this generation, and arguably more, and certainly better.

You mean like JRPG Style.

Last Remnant
Final Fantasy XIII
Vandal Hearts (tactics, XBLA)
Enchanted Arms is ok

Tales of Vespaeria is out on the Games on Demand, and is a brilliant title.
Do you know if they've put Tales of the Abyss on Demand?
Unfortunatly, i havn't seen any news that it's even coming to Xbox. I think i've heard it's going to be on the PS3, but nowt about it coming on the Xbox, which upsets me.

I'm not sure what you mean by "old school variety" because the WRPG formula with its PnP roots predates JRPG formula by many, many years; however, discounting WRPGs, Lost Odyssey is fantastic. It is what the final fantasy series should have progressed to, which is unsurprising given that Mistwalker is made entirely from former Square employees. Also, Resonance of Fate looks interesting. I haven't played it yet but it seems to have a cool steampunk artstyle and some fucking cool battle gameplay.
