So... I was feeling bored studying for finals and was listening to sad music. So I thought, "I know, let's make a thread about everyone's favorite sad songs!". I know it has probably been done before, but it wasn't on the first 5 pages of Off-Topic dammit, so I thought why the hell not? Everyone is entitled to a stupid thread every now and then.

Anyway, what are some of your favorite sad songs? I have to say, I like this one:

It seems that all the tear-jerking songs I know are helped by it's music video or context. Is this cheating? I mean, Little Motel only made me cry because of it's music video and Memories(Someone You'll Never Know) only made me cry because of the revelation in the film.

Eh, the one with the dog never got to me like it did with other people, so that song doesn't really do it for me. The episode with Fry's brother, on the other hand, that is a different story altogether...

"100 years" by Five for Fighting. Especially the verse near the end where he's 99 years old and waiting to die so he can see the woman he loved once again. Gets me every time.

and Town, Flow of Time, People.

Yeah they are 2 cliche picks when it comes to this soundtrack but its true. They are heartbreaking. Another one that gets me is Kettering by The Antlers.
