If anyone can tell me a more out there character for a fighting game let me know, personally I wanna say Sheldon for Injustice but I realize they're both owned by Warner Bros
He did save the TV show though. This charismatic villain was just what the show needed. Excellently cast as well.Johnny Novgorod said:Whether it's comics, TV or games Negan's whole character always boils down to "desperate hyping".
To each his own, I think he's a bore and a drag.stroopwafel said:He did save the TV show though. This charismatic villain was just what the show needed. Excellently cast as well.Johnny Novgorod said:Whether it's comics, TV or games Negan's whole character always boils down to "desperate hyping".
Lol never expected him to be in Tekken.![]()
Depends on who you're talking about (Cross Tag Battle with its horrible DLC). Fighting games have always used crossover appeal to grab new audiences ever since X-Men vs. Street Fighter. At this point, the fighting genre needs it to survive. Look at Injustice 2 and Mortal Kombat X(L), They're the top selling fighting games for a reason, minor crappy DLC and season passes aside.erttheking said:Did fighting games just stop giving a shit?
Fighting games are the last place you need to look for immersion.Saelune said:I have been done with 'guest characters' since Soul Calibur 4. They really ruin some of the immersion and it bothers me.
Fighting games, the ones I like anyways, often have very interesting worlds and stories I am heavily invested in...and then Darth Vader or Jason walks in and ruins it.PurplePonyArcade said:Fighting games are the last place you need to look for immersion.Saelune said:I have been done with 'guest characters' since Soul Calibur 4. I hate most guest characters by principle.
1. Publicity and to attract new audiences.TheVampwizimp said:Ha! That's hilariously stupid.
Is there any other genre of game that does this? I guess there was an SMT game that had Dante from DMC, but that's all I can think of. Why do fighting games always need story-breaking guest characters from entirely different media?
Good news, you won't see Vader in SCVI. Instead, you get Geralt! Enjoy.Saelune said:Fighting games, the ones I like anyways, often have very interesting worlds and stories I am heavily invested in...and then Darth Vader or Jason walks in and ruins it.PurplePonyArcade said:Fighting games are the last place you need to look for immersion.Saelune said:I have been done with 'guest characters' since Soul Calibur 4.
