I'm torn between parceling it out and marketing to Harvest Moon / Farmville enthusiasts, or to develop it as my own little apocalypse-proof commune.

Both are attractive in their own way.

Step 3) 'Motivate' resulting Beatniks to get off my freakin' lawn.

Oh my god! Will you have, like, specialized places where goods and services are traded for, um, tokens that can be traded for other goods and services? What were they called again?

Mostly rehabilitory housing and some stuff set up for farming and with lots of green tech so funding would be less of an issue later on. People who wanted a second chance could pull their weight in a communist-ish type community, growing food, repairing housing or electronics or whatever. Cooking, cleaning, the whole bit. Seems like a good idea to me. Prolly have to keep it out of the way, away from heavily populated areas so there's less opportunity to do socially unacceptable things.
