The Magic Flute, one of the last operas composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, premiered at Theater auf der Wieden in Vienna, Austria. It was premiered on Spetember 30th.

That and I know for a fact that the Season 4 Deadly Gladiator set is inferior for PVE compared to the Season 3 for tanks as it does not provide them with enough defense to complete their damage mitigation. It leaves them off by 7 points, meaning they can still get critted.
Oh and on average.
About 100 people choke on a battery every year.

The only reason Luke Skywalker's lightsaber is green in Return of the Jedi is because the original blue/white color would not show up against the desert background of Tatooine.

I admit it, you win at life forever.
Just for that post.

My nerdiest fact is that on the Quantum level, shit's fucked up.

The humming bird can flap his wings around 60 to 90 times per second and he's the only bird that can fly backwards.

Intersting fact, if I may say.

An average 70kg human body contains around 4g of radioactive potassium-40.

Optimus Prime was called "Convoy" in Japan because his toy was a re-release of the Battle Convoy mecha/playset from the Diaclone toy line produced by Takara, in a different box and with the pilots removed. Some early runs of Optimus Prime were repackaged Battle Convoys and still had metal plates in the trailer, because Diaclone men have magnetic feet.

Shoji Kawamori was contracted to design the world's first fully transforming robot toy after demonstrating how it could be done in a meeting using origami. The transforming jet became the Macross VF-1, also appearing in Robotech and in Transformers as the Jetfire toy, although his animation model had to be changed radically since the Macross anime creators had the rights to the animation model directly based on the toy.

I could go on like this for hours. Hours. That alone is probably the nerdiest fact I know.

On the topic of Star Wars:
NO, THE EWOKS ARE NOT TINY "CHEWBACCAS", YOU FUCKING IDIOT.
Not exactly a nerdy fact, but still...that's another I've actually heard. Oh, how I hate people.

Radium has no magnetic GRAVITY, but does have magnetic properties making it perfect to sustain quantium singularities. Providing mass gravity to quatium singularities however will reverse polorization of mass gravity causing a tunnel effect and compressing all mass within a growing area to the size of an atom. The atom then moves to the other side of the vortex tunnel, also known as a wyrmhole, where the otherside has a reverse polarity to that of its counterpart.

Also:

Faster than Lightspeed travel is impossible on a multicellular level due to the speed breaking the moleceules apart, and upon exiting FTL speeds the molecuels cannot reform because of suffering intense heat. However wyrmhole have been found to use what most scientists consider to be Timeless Travel. Timeless Travel, also called T-, is unique in that it propelles objects through space at or near instantanious speeds, completely breaking the 4th wall. If technology was developed to contain the element consistant with wyrmholes, colonization of other planets could begin within 10 years of that technologies completion.

Final note: Grammar, and spelling suck, but I'm a scientist, not a novelist.

EDIT: Also Quantum Singularities compress all entries to an atomic level, which is why the molecuels dont break apart in wyrmholes!

The scientific name for brain freeze is "sphenopalatine Ganglioneuralgia".

Other complex words for banal things include "Post-micturition convulsion syndrome" (piss shivers) and "Callipygian" (someone with a nice ass).

Also, Helium (which has one of the lowest freezing temperatures), has almost no viscosity as a liquid. This causes the liquid helium to climb up vertical surfaces like some weird jelly monster.

The terminal velocity of an ant is so low and is achieved in such a short distance (about 2.5cm) that you can drop one out of an air plane and it will live.
Cats have a non-fatal terminal velocity.
You better be right Dr Jack because the life of Mr. Mittens is about to depend on it. *runs and grabs the cat*

jk, jk.

I got this from another Escapist a long time ago, but the characters in Halo appear younger than what they actually are because they routinely undergo slip-space travel, the faster than light speed preventing them from aging as quickly.
