I love having a guy I can talk about games with, and a guy who doesnt treat me like a weirdo. Or a unicorn.
At least unicorns get ridden!

[small]Lordy, I'm ashamed of that one, but at least I didn't make a joke about being horny![/small]
i'm ashamed in myself for not making that joke.

OT: i've never been in a relationship. but the only reason i hang out with the two guys i want to fuck is games. and that i want to fuck them but that's a whole nother thing.

I don't know personally if this works as it's kind of like going:
'Hey! You like football! I know a girl/guy who likes football! You two should date!'
But hey, I'm a single, shy sociopath nerd with no hope in hell and will never, ever find love.

This happens a lot more than you might think. Look at relationships from this point of view:

"Hey! Do you like sex?"
"Why yes, I do enjoy that!"
"Okay. How about we supply each other with sex on a regular basis?"
"hmm... turn all the way around one time? Yeah, I think I can get into this deal"
"Great! Now that we have that settled, let's spend the next 5 to 6 months trying to figure out some other things we have in common"

That is the very simplistic deconstruction of a relationship based on my experience. People form connections over the simplest of ideas and, from the outside, it can seem stupid.

OT: I've never had a long relationship with anyone I could describe as a geek. However, prolonged exposure to me and the geeky things I enjoy has prompted geekiness in certain girls. One of my ex's now worships Yu Yu Hakusho because of me. Another got addicted to Plants vs Zombies and then Fallout: New Vegas. Apparently, geekiness is infectious.

As for the second point, I do find that some geeky attributes are desirable and even a turn on at times. There's one girl whom I love to death but will probably never see again and we clicked because of how we both grew up watching Toonami from the segment's very beginning. Now that I think about it, I form quick connections with anyone whose early life was defined by Toonami. But yeah, geek qualities can be very attractive so long as they do not dominate someone's persona entirely.

Nope, but to also borrow from Love FAQ a tiny bit, I don't like the whole Geek? thing. If I did share gaming/internet interests with someone it would be because we actually share interests, not because they start using Reddit and listening to chiptunes now that the Geek? is what's cool with the kids.
