Well, I have a MlP avatar both on here and MSN so I guess there's no nerd border I wouldn't cross?
I really have no problem with it, only reason I don't talk about certain things with people is because nobody here'd get it. I have worn Doctor Who shirts to uni and stuff and people kept asking me what "that robot" was... itsnotarobotitsadalekyoumorons!

I'm pretty sure I'd lose a few billion man-points if I told my friends that I've watched K-On!, Azumanga Daioh and the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya all the way through. I even watched all eight of those goddamn time loop episodes.
I didn't know one could lose man-points over this! I got K-On! and Azumanga Daioh recommended to me by a male friend, so does that mean we both lost points, or...? Also, I actually found Endless Eight really fun in a painful way :p

As for my own nerdy thing to not let my friends know? Hmm, probably some of the visual novels I've been through, along with my "special" Windows 7 I use when I'm at home alone. People would probably think I'm insane otherwise, having a computer that talks to me.
Madobe Nanami will always be on my computer I suspect, damn you Japan for making cute mascot characters and integrating them with Windows 7 (with sound files)...

I can't really think of anything i keep from my friends that is nerdy. as most of my friends are nerds including my female friends, and those that aren't still know and seemed impressed. never thought able to paint warhammer to a decent level was impressive to those outside the hobby.

I played and thoroughly enjoyed FFVII. Hell, I can barely let people on the internet know that, apparently that game's still cool to hate.
*Hugs* There there, it's okay. FFVII is awesome. Especially Reno.

On topic: Thanks to a friend who doesn't accept my sexuality, I have seen ridiculous amounts of hentai. Yeah I don't know how that was supposed to work either.

Even though I believe that I have a certain degree of intelligence, I am not a Nerd. I am a Geek.

I am not embarrassed at all about my hobbies; reading True crime, Historical Fiction, High Fantasy and Game Lore, playing a wide variety of video games, wearing video game t-shirts, and collecting statues, figurines, and game/fantasy memorabilia.

If asked a question, I'll talk openly about it with family and friends even if they don't understand. I've had a few people scoff and laugh directly in my face. Implying what a waste of life my hobbies and choice of entertainment was. Some even go far as to act like being around me wasn't exactly 'cool'. I guess people still worry about that in their mid to late 20's. These aren't people I continued talking to, even though they showed interest in talking to me again at friends get-togethers. I just nod to their greeting and move on to mingle elsewhere. As far as I was concerned they can fuck off and suck my metaphorical dick.

I'm a World of Warcrack addict, I casually mentioned that I play to one of my friends and he pretty much disowned me, so now it's a no-go in conversation with anyone I meet.

I know that feel brah. Although it was only because of a classmate's recommandation that I even looked into them in the first place. In retrospect, I wonder if he was trolling because that was THE worst game I ever played. After that I tried a few better ones but the same general problems were always there.

Other than that. Doctor who, ponies, any sci-fi shows,... Hell, gaming culture in general is seen as a weird thing around these parts apparently. I even had to stop mentioning WoW in public because the looks I got made me feel like a drugdealer.

I'm a pretty nerdy guy and most of the time I revel in the idea. However, there are some things which aren't really nerdy which I know, if my friends knew, they'd give me shit about:

I want a herb garden and I want to brew my own teas, maybe even own a tea house where people sit and order exotic teas over biscuits and cake.
I like anthro stuff but I'm not a full blown furry, although I'm sure it'd be blown out of proportion like that (one friend constantly refers to me as a pedophile because I act so mature for my age and I already have a receding hairline).
I get very emotional over some music, esspecially songs from movies from my childhood, and I love it.
Finally, the fact that I just said all that on this forum, if they ever found it I'm not sure what they'd say...:p

I have the FF X-2 poster from the game guide on my wall even though I never played the actual game. My biggest secret is that I like FF 8 over all others.

That I'm a gamer, that I post on here, that I really like Star Wars. Most people I know are CoD and Fifa types, but I've never bothered to mention anything past that.

I'm confident enough in myself to express my gaming, D&D and Magic hobbies to friends, family and girls I meet. These things are a major part of my life, if the person can't accept me for that then I'm glad I didn't waste my time on them.
