This my first time playing a shooter that didnt have every single enemy drop ammo and i wasnt used to the way you aimed so i wen through it fast.
I ran out fighting the U3 and had to finish it with a knife.
I felt like an idiot for running out of ammo and like a baddass mofo for taking down the U3 after i ran out of bullets.
Ditto, god damn it, Alma needs to learn to die faster and not eat up so many health items on the first round, I actually had to restart the entire game because this ***** beat me down so much, I never had enough health/Ninpo items to deal with her.Strafe Mcgee post=9.72014.744858 said:
While we're on the topic of cheap ass bosses, I'm going to Ninja Gaiden 2 to rip on the Lava Armadillo boss, it's easy enough to kill, but really, who the hell knew that you were supposed to hold down block when he blew up? That strikes me as cheap battle tactics quite honestly.

The dead FROGS attack you and theyre all over the place, resulting in a completely mindfucking enviornment. and then you have to worry about meryl, that shoots you with the deagle, wich takes allot of HP. Then you have to hit not the boss, but the tiny puppets shes carrying. the problem is that I cant get my aim straight, because the frogs and meryl are kicking my ass. And when you finally take a puppet, you have to do it all over again to disable meryl/FROGS.

I hated the first boss from Ninja Gaiden, the ninja master who uses a nunchuck... that was a cheap and plain insulting first boss...
I also hated the 3 "hyper" bosses from the 5 last stages of "extreme challenge" (don't remember the name, got my game card stolen and had to get it back, re-started it from scratch last weekend, beat the whole game 2 years ago for chrissakes) mode. Level 15 17 and 20, you'll have to fight x-on-1 Hyper Broly, Hyper Perfect Cell and Hyper SSJ2 Son Goku.
These HYPER characters have infinite Ki, overpowered versions of their normal moves and can grab you from further than allowed... And they're hyper fast and do 1.5 or double damage...
Only way to beat'em is having a team of 3 characters with beam supers (like goku and his kamehameha), charge Ki, spam beams, die, let the next in the team get in the ring, etc.
VERY hard and cheap, and once you've won that you've unlocked everything (provided you cleared all Story maps 100%), and the game suddenly becomes boring.
Also, some VS CPU characters in Lumines on PSP, like the Mouse, so fast that you can lose in 10 seconds top... Ridiculous.
Playing a Grand Prix in Mario Kart DS in 150cc is also something that drives me insane, it's a "cheaper than thou" contest...
To get back on whoever talked about the Portrait of Ruin bosses, I second that, the first boss alone takes billions of hits to die, and he eats away most of your health in 2 moves...
Carnage in Neversoft's Spider-Man was a monstrous boss I hated deeply, it was so hard to get him right in the middle of the sound generators and beat him...

Rick Astley along with Haddaway led a 40 man raid on Tay and took him down. Only success i think. Perhaps Christopher Walkin did it as well.Cyclomega post=9.72014.749277 said:

Also Fontaine in Bioshock on Hard mode, it was awesome when my brother started playing the Doomsday theme from Sonic 3 and Knuckles on his computer ^_^
Speaking of Sonic, the final fight in Sonic 3 & Knuckles was pretty damn intense, flying through space avoiding missiles and meteors with that awesome music playing.
Minoes nailed it with the SNK bosses. I dare you to beat King of Fighters XI or NeoWave or NeoGeo Battle Coliseum. In the home ports you get infinite continues, but even then after some 20 tries with the boss on 1/3rd health I usually just call it quits and ask myself why I thought I had a chance this time.
If you count Guilty Gear's challenge mode as boss fights they win out though. Some of those are freakishly evil.
