Netflix and Nintendo are not actually making a Zelda series

So it seems that last month's rumours from the Wall Street Journal about a Legend of Zelda series being in the works as a Netflix original series where false. This is a bummer since I really liked the idea of such a series and wanted to see it done, though there's always the possibility that the reaction to the rumours have cause a Deadpool on us, where the reaction may be enough to prompt it to actually happen, though I'm not putting my money on it being the case.

Gonna be honest here, they'd have to have top-tier writers that know the universe and games inside out for it to be any better than the 90's cartoon. Kinda glad it's not actually going through. Sick of seeing adaptations that butcher the source material for loose plot threads.

I think Nintendo is pretty worried about losing total control of how Zelda is portrayed.

But let's be honest, given how the idea proposed was for a Netflix series, the result probably would have been pretty decent given how much better Netflix original series tend to be compared to cable or network television series. Plus we'd probably get some great memes out of it like.
