Nethack - Your stories

Escapist, if you've played the game "Nethack", you'll know what I mean when I say it's incredibly difficult. I've had some funny moments in the game, however. I'm wondering if you've played it, have you had any goofy or epic moments? If you can, list your character and what happened.

Mine

Character: Goaty the Samurai
Moment: I had eaten a mushroom in-game. I didn't identify. So, I started hallucinating. All of a sudden, a "fleet of miniature starships" attacked me. It was, apparently, a bat. Then, through sheer bad luck, I drank an unidentified potion (I was desperate)... and got paralyzed. So I died, of course.

Outcome: Goaty the Samurai was killed by a bat while helpless.

Well, I'm stuck in a room at the moment. I found a scroll and after reading it, boulders spawn all around me. I managed to get out, but the boulders are blocking the exit -_-

Stories, huh? All my stories contain massive spoilers. Though I keep dying towards the end of the game. Once 10 steps away from the Altar D:

The problem is that I keep trying to have sexy parties before I ascend; reverse genociding nurses with several iceboxes full of booze. It seems like hauling all the booze through the Astral Planes is ridiculously difficult without massive preparation that I am far too impatient for. However, one time I made it with a single icebox full of booze, and three cursed scrolls of genocide. I was supposed to have the sexy party in the Temple of my alignment, but I fell ill before the threshold (damn you Pestilence!) I decided it couldn't hurt to start the party a little early, so I sheathed my Magicbane, stripped down, and summoned several nurses. The nurses healed me up pretty good, but I think I drank a bit too much. When I was out of booze, I went to try and end this debacle (though I had to remain naked and unarmed or the nurses would become upset) and ended up running smack into Death in my confusion. Lets just say he was not enjoying the party

Cursed ring of polymorph + room full of friendly incubi and succubi + actually making God mad.
So yeah, starving to death, while changing species every few seconds surrounded by sex demons.

I don't know what I did to make all those Foocubi there anyway- I was still in the Dungeons of Doom! D:

Word of advice, based on a single disappointing experience: If you happen to find a wand of wishing in the first shop you come across and you are still experience level 2 or lower, be sure to wish for something that will help you escape that shop with your last wish... If you get 5 pieces of ascension worthy armor and one worthy artifact weapon from that wand, killing the shopkeeper will still be very unlikely.

Nethack? Damn, it's been forever since I played that game. I don't really have any stories, but I'm downloading it now so hopefully I will before long.

Dammit Rodney! Trying to ascend my first Archeologist. Got to the Plane of Earth where my mattock was cursed by the 16th incarnation of the Wiz. Both hands being welded to the same weapon means no access to any emergency items or casting. I put up a bloody fight though, that's for sure.

Come to think of it, if I were to ascend an Archeologist named Daniel Jackson, would anyone appreciate it? Or is that just too niche?
