EDIT: Although, I loathe those 'I'm a fan of' things. It's like Facebook's trying to force me to conform.
Yeah, I ignore those. Espesh when they're for things like "sleeping". Everyone loves sleep, so why do you have to say you're a fan of it?

I'll tell you what I don't get though: Twitter.

Seriously, what's the point in one-dimensional comments, when you could have a proper conversation?
I've never got it either, it's like they've taken the Facebook status lines and made an entire site out of them.

I'm on Facebook but only really use it to occasionally see how someone I haven't seen for years is getting on, it's so weird looking at photos of people I haven't seen since we were 15! I'm on Myspace too but I only use it to find music, I haven't even done anything to my page since I joined.

I'm on facebook because initally all my friends were, but I've grown to enjoy it myself. I don't use those stupid quizzes or games, I just use it to keep in contact with friends who are overseas or in Melbourne or something. Twitter is something I might consider if other people were using it I know...

to be honest.... im waiting for someone to dominate all of the internet and come up with one single wonderful social network with utterly everything possible in it....
I want something better than that. I want APML to take off and have it's potential realised.

Imagine, chosing your fav social networking site and adding friends that use different networking sites and still be able to use all the basic tools. Until this happens, I will stay away from Myspace (cos it sucks) and Facebook (cos it is evil).

I do have a Facebook and Myspace, but I don't really do anything with them, I have them there for the off chance someone I care about actually interacts with me on it. That being said, I'm logged on to MSN every second that I am home and awake, though of my 66 contacts I actually talk to about 6 of them...

I tend to stay away from the like of Myspace, it just seems too much like a popularity contest and a waste of time. Having 2000 strangers under the friend list isn't really a thing to brag about in the first place...

I view those sites as the downfall of society, especially facebook. Thus I do not have an account on either of those sites.

I have facebook and twitter, but wouldn't really want anybody I don't actually know on my facebook. I never use facebook for a start, and really it's a personal Social Networking site. Twitter would be fine by me. It's 'bogoblin' (Without the quotes of course)

I use twitter, it's a nice easy way to say what you're doing/feeling at the moment.
I have an account on facebook, but I can't remember my name, pasword etc. And have never actually used it.

I can't put my finger on it exactly, but I dislike these sort of sites. I might consider it if it would advance my working career, but besides that, no thanks.

Never used a social networking site.

Reasons: I'm quite sure that no one on the interwebs gives a shit about my life or my day to day activities and nor do I give a shit about theirs.

I could never be bothered to take the time to create it and update it regularly. I once viewed a Myspace page and it was a complete mess, I could barely distinguish one thing from another.

I see it as mostly a popularity contest, "wow you have 500 myspace friends! I don't give a shit."

I have a Facebook... mostly old school mates and a few people overseas. It's a great time-killer when you have nothing better to do (which, sadly, for me is rather often).

I deleted my myspace account earlier this year, and it was like taking 2 cinderblocks off my shoulders. It was kinda cool if you could figure the messy thing out, but it loses a lot of its appeal after you get outta school.

Don't use any of them.. I just don't want to. Can't explain but I had a myspace for about 3 days.. and just didn't want to see it.

I'm not into firing photos left right and centre... and if I want to talk to someone I want an immediate response and a conversation.. not a 24 hour waiting period.

Come to think of it.. it's just one more way people are socialising without socialising.

Isn't it ironic... we try to dodge having to talk to people directly by creating walls and distance... and it makes us look even more sociable.

I have a Myspace because I use it as a way to talk to my friends. Its basically an alternate form of e-mail for me.

Also my band has one so we can post our songs up and get noticed by other bands.

I have a bebo, which you can find on my profile. Feel free to add me.

Search for me on facebook by typing Chris Nutt. I'm the one from Edinburgh. Add me. especially those going to EscapismUK 2009.

I rarely use either however. It depends if my friends are and if I'm in the mood for it.

I'm on Facebook, and I'm pretty sure there's an Escapist group you can join isn't there? I was on Myspace for a bit, but I found it to be full of melancholic idiots, so I deleted my account.
the one on facebook isn't so bad
