Never Played Video Games?

Go look at the Extra Credits episode about introducing the gaming medium to people who never played before.

Pay attention to each stepp they bring up, and know I did each and every one of them wrong when I tried to introduce my mom to Starcraft.

Introduced my dad to Red Dead Redemption. Now he plays it so much that I've decided to just let him keep my copy.

I let my mom play GTA IV for a few mins once. She had problems moving the camera around with the mouse. She found the game to be complicated and couldn't believe that I was so agile compared to her. I found the whole matter amusing.

I got my godmother's kids to play Pokemon with me a few years back. Now they both have their own DSs and I'm afraid to battle against them because I know I'll lose. Those two have so much free time in their hands that they can just grind and grind and grind. I also taught them to play Ratchet & Clank.

I introduced my little sister to games with The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion, enticing her with the character customisation and *snicker* horse riding. She now plays games infrequently but intensely. And I tried to get my father to play Gran Turismo 5, but he didn't pick it up again.
