Hey so eh I have recently came into a rough patch in my realtionship but I have a plan.

The girl, and myself quite frankly, and romantics... so I am going to sing and play a song for her...

Only trouble is which one? So yeah...a fairly well known one would be best. Thanks!

'Unintended' by MUSE, I can see that being successfully adapted into a solo guitar & vocals thing. 'Endlessly' as well, but that one's less acoustic so it would be a little harder.

And best of luck to you man. 'Tis a very admirable and romantic - not to mention courageous - gesture, and I wish you well.

Whatever choice you go for bud, good luck. let us know how it goes (if you start a thread with "my girlfriend thought my singing was so bad it was cute." I called it first :p)

I played 1,2,3,4 by the Plain White T's for my girl and she loved it. If you can figure out how to work a guitar, I recommend one. It's not hard to learn a simple song (and there are plenty of simple, fun love songs -- I recommend raiding her iPod playlist for a contemporary one), and you can do a recording instead of doing it live. It helps with nerves and then you can make sure you don't make mistakes. Then just leave it paused on her TV or something (though a regular e-mail works too).

Any song will do. The gesture that playing and singing this song means is so much more important that the song you choose.
