Neverwinter Nights getting a prequel.

According to news at E3 and IGN. Neverwinter Nights is getting a sequel simply titled "Neverwinter".

It's being made by Cryptic? Eww. I'll pass. As much as I liked Neverwinter Nights 2 (okay, as much as I liked Mask of the Betrayer), I don't think Cryptic will do this properly.

Gah, another Forgotten Realms DnD based RPG. Allow me to not be excited yet. From the vague info thrown around it's sort of singleplayer/MMO hybrid. Unless it will support full modding like previous NwN titles, with dedicated multiplayer servers able to run custom "modules" i'll most likely pass.

Sounds like they made a new game, then just slapped on the "Neverwinter" label. It is after all the third diff developer that touched this franchise.
