well, let's just hope that Sega ain't going to be bashing the fans up any lnger with useless innovations that fall flat and drop those innovations that had a solid grounding.
And while I admitedly did play Sonic Adventures 1 & 2 I was luckily spared by the other crap games but even the Adventures did offer a bit too little of the good bits. The levels were rather short for my liking (personal opinion) and that led to rather short moments of good ideas which really could have been stacked up a few more times in longer levels.

And yes, I feel with you, mates. I sure hope that if it's full 2D (in Gameplay) that it will indeed give a good bit of Nostalgia love and not lashing into it, as well. I would really like to see another game like that. Simple, fast, challenging and formost FUN platforming action. What more would you need to define the PURE Sonic?Paulrus_Keaton said:Allow me to be the first cynic on the matter.

But it does look like they are getting their act together, gameplay-wise. The rest of those little bad things (voice acting, bad story, supporting cast) can appear at any time.
EDIT:
Exactly. The franchise has really been on thin ice since that game. Go farther back if you like, but I see it as a game that made a larger amount of fans and gamers turn on the franchise. Mainly because the "return to the roots" gameplay that was hyped in the first months was a lie for most of the game.MrBrightside919 said:Deja Vu...
That's what they said about Sonic Unleashed and we all know how that turned out...
Doesn't matter cuz i'm gonna play the new game anyways...
