New and "flimsy" 360 game cases

I never liked the Xbox case or the ps2 case. They wore so large... and now they are large and light?

Eco friendliness aside, I do kinda wonder why hey chose to put the holes THERE of all places when they could have put them anywhere on the box.

This is like cutting out a huge hole in the front of a knights armor to conserve metal.

Now, tell me if I'm missing something here, but I can see plastic in other places on the case that isn't needed.

Is the case being rectangular some sort of inalienable design? is it too much like the old PSone or Dreamcast boxes and we want to forget?
Why can't it just be square?

I wouldn't mind the case if the game looks like it's going to snap inside i'd rather not rush it.

It's a new case thats suppose to use less plastic and be better for the enviorment. It was in the news room, just look it up in the search bar for more info.

I don't care about the case as much as the little knob thing the games sit on.

On the newer ones, I'm scared I'm going to snap the disc in two because it's wedged on so tight.

God I always worry about it.

Actually, my Prototype, Gears of War, and COD4 disks have cracks rinning through them because of them snapping when I try to take them out and put them back into their cases. They don't work anymore

Same thing happened to my Fallout 3 disk on the PC. Whenever I take it out/put it back into the PC case, it cracks a bit.

Thankfully I don't need the disk to play it.

Hopefully these new cases don't crack the shit out of disks.

PS3 figured some of that out and made their boxes smaller.
