Well, it looks like it's going to improve on enemy variety, the size of enemy encounters and location variety. Plus NPC's look to have a bit more life to them as opposed to standing there while I read the text describing why I'm killing the same 5 guys in the place I've just been to. Consider myself hyped!

Ehhh...Borderlands was really fun until my little group fell apart and we stopped playing together. Then it got somewhat boring with all this repetitive gameplay. I honestly think it was just playing a game with some friends that provided most of the fun, not borderlands. The humor is good, the setting is awesome and the designs are great, but the gameplay is just so bad. All it is is, point, shoot, and pray to god that you have more health and damage output. If the gameplay for this game is anything like the first in terms of gameplay, then I definitely wont be buying this. Other than the gameplay we haven't seen, this game looks like a massive improvement.

Remember that you have both grenades and an active skill, not just guns - and that besides Mordecai's active, the other three are completely possible to badly screw up. Besides that, if the loot collecting got to you as well, then I know this game is touting the fact that it has even more guns than the first, so.

Oh, too much awesome in one trailer. The is the one game I'll probably get at launch this year. The other two I was considering both pushed back to 2013, so Borderlands 2 it is. I remember I didn't think I'd like Borderlands at all but my friend kept talking about it, so I got it off Steam for $10. Now it's inhaled 200 hours of my life and I don't regret one bit.

I'm in the midst of playing it throught solo right now and i agree it is a greeat game but it just loses its drive some way through the game, like all that i'm playing it for now is the better loot not the storyline or the jokes or anything really, althought i do here that the DLC was pretty engaging.

Stick with it, around 2/3rds through the game (towards the end) the environments get switched up more and there are some newer enemy types. A few of the boss fights in particular are also really cool. The middle gets a bit dull with a lot of the fetch quests and samey desert environments but playing through till the end was well worth it for me.

I have not been this excited for a game release... ever. Hell, Dead Space 2 was met with a 'yeah, looks cool' despite me being a big DS fan - my reaction to Borderlands 2 is 'WHY IS THERE STILL 66 DAYS LEFT? WHY MUST TIME TORTURE US BY MOVING SO SLOWLY??? The only thing I can see being conceivably wrong with this game would be a short campaign. Aside from that, so many of the character info has been leaked and so many enemies shown that even if the trailers bared everything Borderlands 2 has to offer, I would still buy it.

Nah, I played it solo.

I've heard many times that it's more fun with a friend or three and I don't doubt it. However, I don't really consider that to be a point in its favour. Scary Movie is more fun with a few friends and some beer, but that doesn't make it a good movie.

I've done three solo playthroughs at my last count, about 60 hours in each; I love the game. Different strokes, as they say...
