New Call of Duty Wars

WW2 is boring, modern warfare is all terrorist hunts and oil chases. What war would you want to see in the next CoD? I think Korean Civil war is an interesting war to explore, and it would be something new and different in computer games in general.

Also, can Infinity Ward please give over with the named characters in firefights who are totally invincible? Bring back the nameless schmucks who charge headfirst into machinegun fire and get cut to ribbons, cos it is brilliant when one of them survives all the way though the level and you're all "Whoa, that's Pvt. Pearson, fucking hell he didn't die when he dived into that room full of Germans with submachine guns! Cool!!!" So much better than when it's fucking Gaz and Sgt. Blackguy sayin "Rock on dowg, yea!" every five seconds...

So yea, new wars to fight?

I would love to see a WW3 type game where, instead of terrorists or ultranationalists, you are fighting a battle on American/English/Whatever country you are from soil. Think something like World in Conflict in an FPS form.

I was thinking Vietnam but that may seem almost the same as CoD5 + I was reading a book about it and some of the stuff they did in the war. It would be to graphical to put in any game.

This would be very interesting. Most of all, though, I'd like to see a Vietnam or Korean war Call of Duty.

I wouldn't mind playing something based off World war 1 or the Revolutionary War. Vietnam would be pretty cool too but then again,its probably gonna be the same as or just about the same as Modern Warfare set in a jungle with different weapons.

That is coming, and it is called Homefront. Same people that did Frontlines: Fuel of War.

So far the plot for Homefront is so laughable, even if you bombed the USA to hell in back the people left could defeat the stuck in 1960s North Koreans. I did love Frontlines though so maybe it will be fun

A collection of a lot of smaller wars would be nice. Instead of having one huge war with little variation, a group of compiled skirmishes would be nice. Or possibly in something like the Korean War, play half as the Southern Forces (not just America) and half as the Northern Forces (not just China).

American Revolutionary War would be fun, but it would mostly be bayonet-oriented as the guns from that time took way too long to reload.

I think that a Spanish-American War game would be interesting, as would a WW1 game.

I quite like the Modern stuff though, no need for another past war game we have millions.

US Civil war, with a North and South campaign.

Second thought, we'll leave that one to Treyarch in CoD 7.

CoD 8: MW 3 should take place in a similar premise to Battlefield 2142, but with balanced guns. That is an area I don't see too many games.

how about an actual war, not insurgent stuff. Make it modern(or near future) but have us fighting a real army, not terrorists or such. Fighting north korea would work, but that might spark a real war, seeing as how him jong il is batshit crazy. Maybe China, iran, or a european nation, russia maybe?
