I reckon Joshua from FE: The Sacred Stones, he needed to be more than a sticker...one of his moves could be a coin toss, a super risky move which can instant K.O an enemy...but only has 10% chance of working due to his luck
Also Leon from RE4, and if we're allowing 3rd party, Vergil from DMC, Laharl/Adell from Disgaea, ad if all else fails...Suzaku Kururugi, because Anime references would be lolworthy, plus Spinzaku would be the best Final Smash

But seriously, c'mon, Nintendo, where's the love for Mega Man? And I like the idea of expanding on existing franchises in the game. If they have Sonic now, Tails and Knuckles would be nice additions. What would be funny is if you could have one of Sonic's moves be to use Tails as a human shield, or just simply do an Ice Climbers-type thing with Sonic and Tails. For example, instead of the whole spring thing as Sonic's up-B recovery, he would have to rely on Tails to fly him back up. As for other series to expand (or contract) on, we can get rid of at least one of the Fox clones (preferably Wolf) and a bunch of the Pokemon. I think the amount of Mario and Zelda is about right for each series. How about some more Donkey Kong? Get more Kongs playable in there, like maybe Lanky Kong, and as others have mentioned, K.Rool would be fun. Maybe include some more Earthbound/Mother kids.

And Simon Belmont. This series NEEDS Simon Belmont. Please?!?!?
