Surprise, surprise. /sarcasm

Don't get me wrong, I like CoD, and I am still boycotting Activision by buying them all used, but really? This soon after the uber-hyped Black Ops? I'll probably still get it, used of course, to play with my mates, but I will stick to the mantra I have drilled into peoples heads when they ask me why I'm not getting it at launch. "I don't have the money, and I refuse to pay full price for an updated game I have already payed for and sold. I will get it when the price drops."

And in this epsiode, Soap and Price save the world from a nuclear holocaust.......while wearing clown suits!!!!

Sorry I stopped caring about this series when they started releasing quick scoping montages.

The games swap developers every year so activsion can publish a cod game every year and have them still be pretty good games because they get 2 years of development. Also we don't know how hyped black ops is until release day when we find out if it really is the second coming.

So, uhm, by the time Call Of Duty 2 came out?

OT: Awesome. No really... someone gets to demolish the campaign in the third game while the original creators are out and fired.

Not cool, Activision. Even I don't want that much Call Of Duty.

I haven't really played a COD game since CODWaW, so I probably won't get this. The main reason I don't really play COD games anymore is because you can't play them splitscreen online.

Also COD is the new Madden.

I'll hold myself from judging it until I see gameplay. Of course it's a safe bet it's familiar, but it might be cool. No one can deny when a game sells like this it's a winning formula. Let's see what they do with it.

I think it will end when the bad Aliens are destroyed and the galaxy is at peace.

I really can't see how anyone would be surprised by this news.

Activision has been releasing Call of Duty's every year for the past, like, 4 or 5 years. Its working, they're getting lots of money by doing this, so of course they're going to keep doing it.

To quote Graham: "If you keep paying them to kick you in the ass, of course they're going to keep kicking you in the ass!"

Would be better if the sources weren't fairly old, with exception to the final one all of them are from March, at which point IW was still relatively active.

Why would you be surprised even in a sarcastic sense? They released WaW in Nov 08 and MW2 Nov 09 and following that "uber-hyped" installment comes Black Ops this November. I mean its not in the articles but I'm willing to bet that until one of them fails to sell a significant amount of copies there will be one each November.

It's two years of development per installment.
For a long time Treyarch dissenter, Black Ops actually look very good.

It's not exactly a boycott if you end up buying the product anyway.

I'm not entirely sure why you would call it "kicking in the ass", when a lot of, and, in fact, most people who buy Cal Of Duty games enjoy them.

I don't think that a yearly release schedule is particuarly good, but I don't really mind. What I mind is the game creators being fired and their franchise reassigned without any semblance of understanding or timing.

I refuse to give Activision money. This way, I win both ways.

Didn't realise the sources were old. The IGN article is pretty new though.

Well some people like getting kicked in the ass. Of course I'm just saying it because so many people seem to ***** about the COD series, and most of the time I seem them buying game after game. It just gets annoying.

Nobody needs this much CoD. But good to see they are determined to reduce the Call of duty franchise to the 'war' edition of yearly sports games. Bravo to them the money-leeching fucks.
