New Computer building

[Khaine the betrayer]

I am planning to get a new gaming computer of around the ?800, now I have the following problem: I know almost nothing about which things are good in a computer and which are not. A friend of mine suggested this a month or two back:

Is this any good or have you guys got a better suggestion? any help is much appreciated.

Unless you are planning to overclock you can dump the cooler master fan, the stock fan will do the job.


Personally I would go with an i5 rather than FX-8320. The i5 gets better performance from poorly optimized games, i.e most of them. The GTX760 is on the edge of being overpowered for that setup, on games like Arma 3 or the most recent total war the cpu will be a bottleneck and you won't get the benefit of your money. That said its not a bad build and it will play most games that are current at medium to high at a reasonable fps.

It's a good build, but if you're going for the 8320 you should definitely grab the aftermarket cooler. The stock one sounds like a small turbine and isn't very effective as well.
