I could spend my days poring over every ZP video looking for the references or I could spend the next week gaming before I start a new job on the 2nd. Hmmm...tough choice.
It took me 10 min and I'm not even an avid ZP viewer. All of the references were easy to catch and it got me a shiny new badge so how could it be bad?

You can tell the people just here for ZP because they all use ZP Icons instead of something interesting or original. Also... no holly.

I'm glad I get a little badge to represent my knowledge of Zero Punctuation, even though the contest did get very snippy about whether there was supposed to be a colon or not.

took me a good half hour to complete. On the last four I gave up and used the Copy + Paste technique.

Meh, NEW BADGE!

I started the quiz, then decided there were better things I could do with my time. Like jump off a bridge.

I dunno, this badge just seems incredibly lame. Sometimes I get "badge envy" when I see a neat badge (like the Morpheus one), but this badge just doesn't seem worth the effort to me.

Eh I got the badge easily enough, I just remember stuff really well. And as for me, I came here for the ZP and stayed for the RP and great community.

If I had badges turned on in forum options instead of being unable to see them outside of profile pages, this badge would be a pretty good way to see which posters I can just ignore.

This new competition seems to be mixing my two most hated parts of this otherwise quite excellent forum (that is, Zero Punctuation fanboys and Badge Whoring) into something very sinister indeed...

I love Zero Punctuation, I find it quite amusing but that's about the extent of it. As FeNinja said above this is just brining Badge Whores and ZP Fanboys together. It's like a perfect storm of anti-awesomeness.

That would seem to be an excellent reason to have badges turned on then, although if you did, you would ignore me for having the damned thing. I blame it on a brain intent on absorbing useless minutiae whether I want to or not, and a mindset of pointless competitions being the best ones. Throw in the fact that it's a limited time offer, and I'm left to wonder how I can get out of bed every morning, what with that side of the brain constantly fighting the side that uses words like "minutiae". Then I remember that I don't get out of bed until noon most days, and that strangely satisfies both sides.

Now that I seem to have lost the pretense of even bothering to answer the OP's question, I shall attempt to do so. It's hardly the worst idea I've ever heard. It's not even the worst idea I've heard around here... come to think of it, I can't of any bad ideas from around here (useless minutiae-absorbing brain failing me when I actually need it). Call it badge-whoring and fanboyism if you must, but I stand on my record of only jumping on pointless trends and never commenting on any Escapist videos.

I wear my... *Proceeds to shine badge* badge proudly. Zero Punctuation Brought me to this site, but it's not the only reason I stay.

I knew this would happen, for a while there will be a bunch of people who will automatically look down at those wearing one of the... *proceeds to shine badge... again* ZP contest badges, but that's life eh?

In hindsight Yahtzee himself would scoff at us if he saw us badge holders combing through his videos for the sake of a badge.

He'll probably say a cynical remark about our effort for the badge in his next video... and the true fanboys will collectively cream themselves

*Anticipates someone remarking how I will probably cream myself because I too am a fanboy...while proceeding to shine Badge*

To be honest, I only did that contest to defeat both it and Yahtzee himself by proxy. My victory did my ego wonders...
