New Dead Space Film Coming in January

The first one was horrible. The animation was clunky as hell since it lacked principles, the character got weird 'deformations' from panel to panel, half of the plot felt pedestrian, as they made the standard annotations to "We're going to win" to "OMG, Bill just killed Jenny because he want Psycho at the very last moment", the effects where pathetic, loads of continuity error from scene to scene, and the gore looked more like Italian Tomato Paste melted with cheese.

It's a freaking Animation, and they could have done soo much better, yet they failed the most rudimentary parts in it, such as the blood gore...honestly, that what people who have no skill draw and still get something decent.

I don't understand. Is there really a hardcore following for Dead Space? Why don't they just release the sequel?

C'mon. Everything that exists has got to have a hardcore following by SOMEBODY. And for the sequel thing: a little extra never hurt anybody. Anyway, I'm at least going to rent it. Bought the first game, rented Downfall; so I don't see why not.

I feel like it's rather similar to the first one. And oh shit was Dead Space: Downfall one of the worst things I ever watched. So bad through and through with wrong references to the game and lightsaber alike devices instead of weapons from the game. Argh it was so bad I have no hope at all that this one is going to turn out decent.

Awesome. Can't wait. I just bought the dead space miniseries compilation"Salvage" the other day and have preordered dead space 2. I I wish it were January

Why bother? They've already made a Dead Space movie. It's called Event Horizon. And you know the really freaky thing? It came out years before the game.

The plot has many similarities sure, but the game itself is quite good. Don't judge it based on a few ideas it borrowed from event horizon.
For one thing EH was situated in the mind, there weren't undead hulks walking around the ship trying to kill people.
There also wasn't the religious fanatical angle parody of scientology that dead space has got going.

Really? I always thought of it more like a movie based in the Warhammer 40K universe considering how the ship travel works and that "hell" was just the Warp the Event Horizon traveled through, they just didn't have a gellar field to keep the ship safe.

OT: I saw the first one, it's not the worst movie I've seen but it's not the best. Hopefully they can improve on that with this one. As of right now I'm just getting it cause it has Christopher Judge in it.
