New Diablo 3 Class: Monk

Holy Poopoo, I expected a Zealot and a rogue (Ranger/Asassin hybrid) but this is even better if they keep it with the monk archetype of most RPG's I have played (First/holy energy/Unholy/Arcane Energy)

Oh and the proof:

I was hoping for D&D type unarmed monk, but oh well, it'll still probably be fun to play.

Edit: Hopefully he has Paladin type auras. I loved those.

Edit again: I watched the trailer and he did go unarmed and use an aura type spell. YAY! This is now my official class forever. Maybe. Once I play it...

I'm still expecting the fifth class to be the Paladin or the Druid, though.

The only rehash is the barbarian. The rest is pretty different in spells and the likes.

Damn I can't wait to get this game. It looks awesome, and im not really into RPG's. I keep trying to get into D2, but find it pretty difficult to get into. Im hoping I won't waste any money with D3

The only rehash is the barbarian. The rest is pretty different in spells and the likes.

Witch Doctor = Necro with a touch of Druid
Witch = Sorceress
Monk = Monk

They are the same in all but name, including styling for most. I'd like to see a little bit more uniqueness to them, especially when they say "the only returning class is the barbarian...except for these others which are almost the same anyway..."

Not really. The new wizard class has time manipulation spells and the likes. And there was no Monk in the official Blizzard Diablos, apart from Hllfire which wasn't made by Blizzard.

They unique, some spells stayed the same others changed.

He gets a palm-thrust move that does quite a lot of damage and leaves a Dot..I'd say he is more of a exorcist that dabbles in the arcane and martial arts school than a priest.

OT: The class seems nice, but I prefer magic classes.

The Witch Doctor is the replacement for The Necromancer. Blizzard already said that the old classes aren't returning, apart from the Barbarian.
