New Duck Tales cast sing the theme tune

Didn't even know this was a thing, but this vid at least was a fun little watch. Don't recognise most of these, but I'm sure i've seen a couple in bit-parts in movies and/or sitcoms.

Not sure what to make of Tennant as scrooge - some are gonna love it, some are going to hate it.

The fact that they got Abed (yes I know that not his real name) and David Tenant in the upcoming new show has gotten me excited! Also they sining the themetune was eargasm too!!!

I'm fine with Tenant as Scooge despite not hearing his take on him yet. This is not his first time in voicing a cartoon character (anyone hear his voice as that Lightsaber keeper droid in the Clone War series?).

I was unaware they were making a new one. While I know I'm not a part of the target audience, I'll most likely check it out for nostalgia sake. But honestly, between the general lack of quality remakes we've seen over the past several years and (in my opinion) the lackluster performance in that video, all I can feel is a resounding...

That was cute. Between the ducktales theme and the moon theme what is it about scrooge mcduck that inspires catchy music?

I'm surprised they actually have 3 separate voice actors for huey, louie and dewey though. If there's one area you can cut corners and have 1 voice actor for 3 characters, it's there

I'd have to hear how David Tennant does his scrooge voice.

Eh, I'm cautiously optimistic. I don't recognize most of these actors, but I do approve of David Tennant as Scrooge. Being actually Scottish and all I'm interested in hearing his take on the character... But now I have that theme song stuck in my head again. Great.

Why didn't they hire some of the old cast? Scrooge's voice actor is still alive and in the recent DuckTales game you can't even tell if he has aged one year.

He died in May. He came out of retirement to do Remastered.

The original DuckTales was a very big part of my childhood.

I enjoyed that even though I'm going to have the song in my head the rest of the day.

As for the show, well it's yet another case of me wondering why they have to resurrect old properties instead of coming up with new ones. However I'd like to think this'll turn out well.

I guessing you haven't watched The Martian? Troy had a minor role in that film. Also have you seen Chevy/ Pierce previous stuff since he in SNL?

I watched it but I didn't know he was in it at the time. But minor roles are fine. I don't know if I could watch them in a lead anywhere. As for Chevy, he's sort of an exception since he was famous before Community. I've seen most of his earlier stuff when I was a kid but nothing since Community. I don't watch SNL though.

Not sure how to feel about this. On one hand I remember watching Duck Tales years ago, but most of what I saw were reruns that were already years old so I can't say I grew up with it. On the other I barely even watch TV anymore and none of the Disney channels were ever on my priority list. So I guess I'm probably not going to care either way.

I grew up with this show for nearly 30 years since i was 5 and saw the movie in theaters and loved the video game, this remake sounds nice.
