Oh my,I was a little sceptical at at first, but this is starting to look very impressive.
Also: Call of Magic/Nerevarrine combined with Skyrim choir is a solid win to me.

I hope Xilverbullet will make a Midas Magic mod for Elder Scrolls 5 as well.

Looks awesome, but that freaking enormous spider almost made me crap myself.

Was it really necessary to throw that thing in Bethesda?

GAMEPLAY!

Ahem.

Yes I'm a bit excited. Goddamn it... I won't be here in an hour when it goes live. :(

If I come home later and see crappy animations and no dragons I will be sad.
well, luckily, you won't be disappointed :).

For discussion value,
what are your expectations for the game?
I found the trailer to be very exciting. The kind of thing that's like, "Oh wow, this is totally an elder scrolls game!" The kinda thing where it's familiar, yet totally refreshing. From the miniscule amounts of details I've heard, they took everything awesome from Morrowind and Oblivion (and a few things from Fallout...), upgraded the graphics, physics, and AI, and then decided to throw dragons in for good measure (as well as a few fan requested things to add immersion like cooking). It looks AWESOME. After being SUPER DISAPPOINTED BY ALMOST EVERY GAME I'VE PURCHASED IN THE LAST COUPLE YEARS, I'm certain this will be one of the few games I'll ADORE this year.

ONE THING I was disappointed by the trailer, though, was that the graphics weren't AS GOOD as I expected them to be. They looked like super detailed and super polished Oblivion graphics to me. That isn't to say that the graphics aren't awesome; they're 10x better than Oblivions... but they're also not as good as, say, Mass Effect either.

On the other hand, I'm somewhat happier about this because this means my computer should be able to run it to the MAX. Although I recently purchased a Toshiba P500 Satellite, which has relatively good specs with an i5 and Nvidia 330M, it's not entirely the BEST... but hey, it's a good gaming laptop for a college student on a budget. And it looks like I bought it at the perfect time too.
Well...i've heard that the graphics used in the trailer is of the xbox 360 version.

so imagine that times 50 on the PC.

In that case, Crysis is no longer the most graphically impressive game anymore.

Well thanks buddy, you are pretty swell guy for an internet guy.
Well you shouldn't be surprised.
He's not just an internet guy, he's an escapist guy
OT: NICE!
Oh i see us escapist are above the internet! Look at those little trolls down there, they look like ants ha ha ha-ha-haha-ha
Funfact: Everyone at The Escapist has a superiority complex
Yeah, most do, but I am above all that.

Everything in that trailer made me want it. Except those river rapids.

People are already acting like it's Automatic Game of the Year.
Oh, goodie. The Hype is strong with this one.
All the more buildup for what promises to be another Bethesda experience; shallow characters with nonexistent personalities, weak story, and watered down thump-thump shoot-shoot gameplay set amidst a sea of amazing graphics and physics.

I can't wait to try the game out only for it to crash every 20 minutes on a gaming-grade PC, supported by tech support staff who is so notoriously lazy that they require the fans to patch their fucking game for them.
And then have some smartass punk tell me how awesome his 360 is because it runs at half the framerate and even lower quality, but never crashes because that's the only version the game that Bethesda put any effort into making stable (before half-assedly porting it to PC anyway).
...Where was I? Oh right, the trailer.

So what did this trailer tell me? That the game looks awesome, and...that's about it. Hell, if not for the constant marketing, I could have very well mistook this as mainstream Monster Hunter trailer.

Well, when they're ready to show off some actual gameplay footage, rather than half-second snippets from a debug-run, I might get interested. Until then, count me out.

Well now, that was...f-ing epic. Yes, better start hoarding snacks, energy drinks, and put aside some money for circa mid November.

Also, did anybody else think that the music was eerily similar to Morrowind's? Not that I'm complaining, I loved that music, but it does strike me as copied.
Um...it was the Morrowind theme, just with a some celtic/latin? singing in it.
The language actually sounds slightly scandanavian

I just had to post this...

I honestly haven't played any of the elder scrolls games but I do have Morrowind, I am sure to get around to it.

I know right its also a well known fact that Morrowind, Oblivion and Fallout 3 didnt win a single game of the year award... and that pigs can fly and The Phantom Menace was a timeless claasic

Don't delude yourself - it's not going to be "50 times" more graphically impressive on PC...in fact I've no idea why they wouldn't show the PC version to be honest, just makes the graphics look poorer than they actually are [since it wasn't stated which version the trailer was based on.] Regardless The Witcher 2 appears to be graphically superior to either games mentioned.

I don't remember any real problems with Oblivion in terms of bugs. I haven't played it in a while, but there was certainly nothing memorable enough to call it buggy. Fallout 3 and New Vegas have been getting slowly buggier, but I'd have though that would be expected when using the same engine and asking it to do more. I am glad to see that they're making a new engine to run it on.

But, on topic, as far as the trailer goes...

WANT.
