Been looking forward to this since I watched 2.22.
I much prefer the rebuilds to the series. The series bored me after 5 episodes.

GOD. FUCKING. YES! Escaflowne is one of the best works of fantasy fiction I can think of. wayyyy better than Evangelion.

On another note, my friend has this crazy theory where Rebuild is actually a sequel rather than a reboot. He cites the fact that the Lance of Longinus is on the moon from the beginning rather than it being thrown there midway through the series as proof. I've not heard of any official confirmation either way of this, but if it is true... well...

I call that theory a load of fan-wank. As the series is mostly crap, it'd be the most repugnant thing to do. If Anno jumps on that bandwagon and makes it come true, I will rub bleach into my brain as an effort to make myself forget having wasted so much time thinking about the whole stupid franchise.
