I know. That stuck out at me quite a bit. It's very nice and polished, and this week's artist has a very nice style similar to Allison's.

Doesn't seem likely, if that was the case they probably wouldn't be having such a big dispute over the IP.

Well, it's Extra Creditz now as opposed to Extra Credits. Even one letter can make a difference. Capitalism's a *****, ain't it?

The intro still said extra credits...

As for the episode;Curious to see how a successful MMORTS will look like and how come he used Shogun 2 as an example to how one would look like when shogun 1(and the rest of the total war games that came before shogun 2) use the mechanics?

Oh, the art wasn't dark and shaded before...like the Rugrats after they got their movie.

MMO RTS...I'd got for a more standard MMO route, except the character is your RTS army. By which I mean everything stays together, instead of building a base on the ground, you extend your one flying island or mothership or whatever, RTS combat occurs when your island/ship gets too close to someone elses, resource harvesting and movement is the same as in other MMOs.

EDIT: That was a variant of a C&C theme at the end, wasn't it?

Well, shit.

I'm not too familiar with IP or copyright laws (read: "not at all"), but since they're not getting paid for it, I think they'll be safe.

Well, yes, but it'd be much the same as with any other MMO, you can borrow their solutions.

Why not tackle the whole issue by going at it the way Mount and Blade did, with a playstyle for the world map, and another for the combat map?

Let people collect a group, and for separate battles force them to pick and choose their units with some points/unit constraint.

Just as like any other MMO it still poses a massive challenge, but that doesn't make it impossible. In order to make a successful MMO nowadays you'll really have to make it stand apart from the rest anyway.
