10% off if you pre purchase the DLC...'

WOW! Are you telling me I get to save a whole dollar and eighty cents if I take a gamble on your DLC? That seems fair.

These faction DLCs are way overpriced, they should be closer to ten dollars than an entire third of the game. The rampant greed surrounding this game is on full display whenever I boot it up. I'm kinda disappointed that I bought it already since waiting for the GOTY version would have been the much greater deal. Looks neat but I wont be playing it for a while.

Eh. DLC is worth different things to different people.

Me, I think of it as basically 2/3rds of a lunch out at Ribs & Burgers. But if you've got a limited game budget, I can understand wanting to keep that $20 for something else.

No, I'm not. If its worth it to you fine. Shogun2 had factions priced at only five dollars. I personally don't see any content that warrants raising the price to expansion level pricing. I just found it silly that they were trying push pre-purchases with such a limp dick deal.

In CA's defence, the factions in Shogun had more-or-less identical army lists, with a few bonuses and maybe some special units thrown around.

Creating a new race in Total Warhammer is much more resource-intensive; the army list, art assets, and skeletons need to be made up out of whole cloth. It's not just a reskin.

No doubt, I'm not arguing for five dollar DLC, I just find the price gap between them a bit too large. Consider this, we got four factions in the base game(technically five because Chaos was probably ripped out in order to sell pre-orders) for the price of sixty dollars. Ignoring all the leg work of making the game engine, each faction should be priced at around 12-15 dollars. I'll be honest I considered buying Beast-men until I looked at the user reviews basically saying the DLC was only worth its value if you were a fan of the army since very little in the way of new content was added outside of the faction.

Here's the thign I am one of those people that bought this game on launch day, the moment it came out, full 60 dollars and I got the Chaos Warrior pack for free. And I was releaved the game had a smooth and perfect launch and did not end up becoming another Rome 2.

As the DLC came on I made back enough money to buy the DLC I mean people do earn more money from their work or other legal methods as the months went on? I payed some of my expenses for the DLC as they came out. Your complaining about thia because you have not bought the game on launch so of course all the DLC will accumalate to the point its gonna be expaensive for post launch purchasers.

And may I just say that these faction DLC is completely different to the ones in older Total War games.

Every faction in Warhammer is different. They have to make new Skeleton models, New voice actors and sound effects, new animations and texture work, etc. etc.

This is not the same as repaiting a human faction in older games. Its sort of the same story why the Necromancer Class for Diablo 3 is a DLC Class Pack because its a whole different original creation.

But damn it CA when are we getting Chaos Daemons? Perticularly Khorne ones?

The Blood God needs Blood!!!!
You will get (all the) Daemons of Chaos in the second expansion/stand alone if the datamining is anything to go by (it's been 100% correct so far). And High Elves, Dark Elves, and Lizardmen in the first expansion.
