New Fallout: New Vegas patch is messed up(xbox)

mainly a curiosity but wondering if anyone else is having the same problem. I was sitting down with my morning coffee about to get into new vegas and it told me to update. Knowing that this was supposed to be the big patch that fixes everything I downloaded it. so after it restarts, things are running smoothly until I try to play my latest save game. when I try to load the save it says some of the DLC you have is no long supported by this version(I have Dead Money and the preorder dlc from gamestop) do you wish to load anyways? I say yes and it stalls. I try two more times and same deal. now I guess the question is why would you not support your own dlc?

side note: I'm sure it's unrelated but after this mess, my xbox will no longer read any game disc in my disc drive. she's an old beast early model elite but works fine otherwise. I hope it'll go back to normal but I have a feeling I'm sending her away after the all the troubleshooting failures.

Well, Bethesda is notorious for breaking more than they fix every patch, but from the sound of your xbox, I think it may have more to do with it than anything.

Cant speak much for the patch though, I'm on PC and haven't updated, for the above reason.

I heard about this bug (it was in some update notes I saw) but I heard that it was "exclusive" to the ps3.

it's kind of funny it started working again... it's starting to remind me of my old xbox. it started going senile in its old age too

i just downloaded the patch last night (Xbox 360), and same thing for me, when i goto load a saved game on New Vegas it says, DLC content doesn't exist, so items may not load. I accept it and it freezes my whole system. I attempted to try it again after a restart, and with no luck. So i'm kinda pissed, so i'm on the fence with calling the company and reporting this, but i'm sure they have heard a lot already so, i don't know what good another complaint will do.

Bethesda has actually announched that you should not download the patch.

i was playing new vegas when the patch came out. it dissconected me from live so i went and downloaded it. then figured i'd do something else for a while so switched it off after updating.
and now i'm seeing warnings from bethesda saying don't download it. it's a little late now.
anyone know if the fix for the fix has come out yet?

Well I still cant use V.A.T.S. without the whole fucking game freezing, so I'm really not surprised they've managed to mess up yet again.
